I'm trying to find a (preferably action based) Isekai that's not harem or ecchi (I'm fine with romance just please, not harem.)
Preferably with either an OP protagonist or someone who uses their knowledge of the world they came from to alter/manage their new one
(such as cain in "Tensei Kizoku no Isekai Boukenroku" or Touya in "In Another World with My Smartphone" but without the harem aspects) or an OP protagonist works just as well (such as Haru from "The Reincarnation Of The Strongest Exorcist In Another World" or Ard from "the greatest demon lord is reborn as a typical nobody" without the harem aspects, or even Yuji Sano from "My Isekai Life")
I'd really prefer an Isekai where the protag goes into another world or maybe like a video game or movie world, but If possible I'd like to avoid generic reincarnation anime's.

here are some Isekais that I enjoyed
- Chronicles of an Aristocrat Reborn in Another World
MC had an understanding of what was going on and was able to use it to manage himself in the new world. (It'd be better if it didn't have the whole harem thing) and I like how the protagonist was able to grow up in the world, learning about it instead of just suddenly appearing. I also like how there's a reasonable explanation of why he's so OP and a clear end goal of what he needs to do. As well as the mystery elements and people actually noticing his weird behavior and calling him out on it
- The Reincarnation Of The Strongest Exorcist In Another World
Mc was able to use the summoned from his last life, and instead of magically being gifted the magic of the world, he instead is able to use his skills to fake it and prove himself to be powerful with no outside help. I also like how he acknowledges that being the best isn't the goal.
- Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody
even though it's largely harem based, I really like the world building with the dwarves and giants and how MC ends up fighting super strong beasts. I really just like the fighting scenes in the manga
- Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest
this one started off super promising with the whole betrayal and dungeon fighting, alongside MC's fight to survive, gaining abilities but it lost me when it became almost entirely harem based by halfway through the first season.
- My Isekai Life
I watched this one a while back and enjoyed it, though i can't remember a whole bunch of it now. However, I do like how he uses his abilities as a tamer to exceed the standard ideals of what they can do.
- The greatest demon lord reborn as a typical nobody
I like the MC's reasoning on this and how the backstory builds up over the episodes. I also appreciate how the anime shows him (even if only briefly) as a child so you can see a little of how he developed into his new environment
- In Another World With My Smartphone
Honestly, the only thing I like about this one is how the MC was able to use his phone in the ways he did. It was creative. other than that, it was way too harem for me.
- Sword Art Online
I liked how the character bond over time and build a team, as well as how OP Kirito is. (jesus-kun fr)
- That one time I was reincarnated as a slime
currently watching this one, really liking just the characters atp

Here's some other anime's that I enjoyed that aren't necessarily Isekai
- Is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon
- Dr. Stone
- No game no life
- The Devil is a part timer
- Inuyasha
There are a few I'm watching after That time i got reincarnated as a slime, such as "The Misfit of Demon King Academy" and "Am I Actually the Strongest?" so I'm in no rush to receive an answer.
thank you for your help in advance. |
