 The Jump Studio NEO stage for Kazue Katou's Ao no Exorcist (Blue Exorcist) manga announced on Sunday that a new anime series is in production, revealing a teaser visual (pictured) and announcement promo.Jump SQ. began serializing the action fantasy manga in April 2009. Shueisha published the 28th volume on November 4. Ao no Exorcist has a cumulative 25 million copies of its volumes in circulation. The first anime season produced by A-1 Pictures aired in 25 episodes in Spring 2011. The Ao no Exorcist Movie (Blue Exorcist The Movie) side story anime movie opened in Japan in December 2012. The Ao no Exorcist: Kyoto Fujouou-hen (Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga) sequel television anime premiered in 12 episodes in Winter 2017, covering till the earlier chapters of the ninth volume. The 19th and 20th volumes each bundled an original video anime episode in April and October 2017. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in November 2010 and released the 27th volume on May 3. The company and Shueisha's Manga Plus platform simulpublishes the chapters in English. | When I saw that there would be a panel for Blue Exorcist on the Jump Festa schedule I assumed this would be their big announcement, otherwise there would be literally no legitimate reason to give it a panel lol. I'm just wondering if this will continue from where the previous season ended or if it'll be a Brotherhood type thing. |

| Well this was unexpected, I remember watching the first season that ended with an anime original ending and I didn't bother with the second season. I'm surprised to see this manga still going and its still popular right now. I always felt that Blue Exorcist had a lot of potential and there was a lot of hype for it when the first season came out, but they dropped the ball with the anime original ending. This series can really benefit from reboot if that's what they are going to do. |

| Blue exorcist season 2 was really good. But i didn't like first season especially the latter half (even dropped that half way, before continuing again).
