...yes? Why not exactly? I thought cavalry is a bigger target if anything against archer on top of a wall.

Youre correct they are bigger targets but it is still a fast moving target that was shooting back at them with support from behind+ its a different world from irl + not everybody stationed are archers that are well trained most are probably just footmen holding bows they can barely shoot stationed incase something reachs thwm

They're literally group up though, accuracy doesn't matter by much if they're forming a pretty sizable blob like that. Plus, archers in general are a pretty big deal for facing against ranged cavalry.
