Geez. There are some whiners and condescending people here. I was curious about the same thing. Eren sure af doesn't look like a chad, either. Mikasa literally went from long hair, maybe lipstick or balm, and a woman's uniform to short hair, wearing men's clothes. It's kind of an odd change for her to want to look like a man. If the given reason is "just because" then ok, but maybe some people don't know the lore of the series deeply enough, wanted to know if there's something more. If Eren started wearing pig tails, a dress, makeup, people would probably wonder about that, too. Don't be so critical and judgemental.
