I just started watching Durarara!! and so far I love it. Probably because I adore Baccano. Within the first 5 minutes of the first episode of D! there is a flash to a Broadway type venue called "CineSun". If you look closely at the large poster and trailer playing... it's Isaac and Miria! Later, in the first ep, they flat out play a scene from Baccano with Jacuzzi and Nice. It reminded me quite a bit of when Millenial Snow is referenced in Ouran High School.

I had to post when two people in the first ep wandered by with a stand up cut out thing of what looked like the main char from Spice and Wolf. Is it?

And are there other references in the series?

These aren't references so much as shout-outs or easter eggs.

The show is already re-watchable on its own, but I am going to enjoy looking for all the little hidden anime the second time around; it looks like I missed quite a few

It was in the cell phone scene where they got the Dollars text message.
The phone said something like, "You have a message, Young Master."

Now if only they made a Code Geass reference, then this show would be straight out awesome! Just kidding.

As I said in another thread, there's a reference to Kino's no Tabi. It seems anything from Dengeki Bunko is fair game to be referenced in Durarara.

Durarara publishes in Dengeki Bunko, so a large portion of the light novels have been referenced at some point. My personal favorite was when they used them for torture (out of the 5 novels they show, I can figure out 3 of them, Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan, To Aru Majutsu no Index, and Ladies vs Butlers. I think the other 2 are Shakugan no Shana and Darker than Black, but I'm not sure because so little of them was showing. Can't wait to see what other references they have in the second half.

In that first ep some of the chars are talking about getting the new issue of Dengeki Bunko itself =P

if I recall correctly it was when either Erika or Walker made a simple mistake when trying to say a word, and one of the other replied "just like Hermes" or something, meaning the Motorad from Kino's Journey that rather frequently says the wrong word.

Baccano-Link:

Episode 02
~01:45-02:00
(according to Ayu)
"The transcontinental train from Chicago to New York... The Flying Pussyfoot!
This is the traveling ornament built by the Nebula Corporation!"

Nebula's the Organization in DRRR!! that plans to overtake Yagiri Pharmaceuticals =)
so, the Author created another link between Baccano and DRRR!! =3

The angel backpacks that the bully girls had in episode 13 could be a small reverence to Kanon.

I think that in ep. 6 there was a reference to cuticle tantei inaba (around 06:50 they were talking about "a younger brother savior like yuuta"and "a crazy masochistic wolf with a hair fetish)" xD.

Hasn't much to do with anime, but the opening from Durarara! (also baccano) are clearly references to the intro from the movie Snatch.
And the first opening from Durarara!! is without a doubt my most favourite of any Anime.

Yotsuba&! is referenced at one point by the otaku guy, and then it gets pointed out multiple times by the girl. (can't remember their names :P)
"I'll have a green-haired foreign daughter and live next door to three sisters!" or something like that.

In the second opening there is a poster of SAO. They reference Black Butler when they torture a man for info and ask him which manga he wants his punishment to be from. They reference Inu x Boku SS in volume 1 of the Saika Arc when comparing Shizuo to other manga characters. They reference Strike the Blood as well in volume 2 when discussing Saika's purpose.

There are volumes of Sword Art Online, Accel World and Danshou no Grimm in the Opening, which is a bit fascinating since SAO and AW received an adaptation 2 years after DRRR aired.

There's also an Evangelion reference, I think, because according to the subbers, at the end of episode 12.5 the narrator said something along the lines of "God is in His Heaven, all is right with the world."

Just realized, I forgot to mention that a 54 "Black Star" is the type of gun Death Gun uses in GGO, the one that "Sinon" used to shoot the robber, just incase you didn't know.

I believe it was S1 episode 22 (or a different one). While watching it, I was looking around and there was one of those giant T.V screens. So when I looked at it, it showed a clip from ‘Black Butler II’ when Claude was doing his tap dancing scene, and I thought that was prettt cool.
