I'm reading its manga and I can easily tell you that it's very rushed, the animation is average, the voice acting is cringe sometimes, so there isn't a lot to praise them for tbh
It's a 6/10 or 7/10 and I'm being generous

Animation is awkward at times and it's not as emotionally gripping as the LN.

It's low budget and a poor directing really makes the story seems mediocre for a lot of people.

It has a great manga adaptation so I'll say read that Instead... 5.

there some bad animation here and there, because " this is very very small studio with low budget but hey they tried"

the good medium to enjoy this the manga and novels

The animation is quite beautiful in style, if jerky or awkward at times in flow.

With good studio and director it could be well received like mushoku tensei and become a future classic. But well, I guess it will just stay only as great manga/LN.
If I cry reading and not while watching then something is wrong.

I haven't read the LN/Manga and I've only seen episode 3 and man, I can pretty much guess that this animation is garbage, I mean the lines are good and I can guess that the story is well made but the acting and animation? They are pretty much saying "as long as we finish it". I mean, they have very capable cast then this? It's a joke. At most parts you'd think "oh. I can feel that something good is coming" but end up being disappointed by the crappy upbringing. They should just give their budget to Jobless reincarnation so that it can have a 2nd season

Voice acting sucks , especially that of the main character's. Also mc acts like a 8 yrs old even though he retains memory of previous life. Why he does so isn't explained in the anime. Besides, his voice acting & crying like a wimp now and then makes me want to slap him the shit out of him. Mc needs some hard thrashing.

Couldn't put it better. They should have spend more o another Studio, instead of going with a new Studio with a bad track record, it's called Children's Playground Entertainment for god sake...

I've read all source materials of the series and the anime... ah... if I had to describe it in two words it would be 'forgetful and underwhelming.'

I didn't understand what you meant, anyway the pacing comparing to the manga is 3 chapter per episode (every chapter is about 35-40 pages) so you can imagine how much content they cut..

Anime only's says it's slow paced but the faraway paladin is MEANT to be a slow burn and the anime rushed over the early family interactions making it lose its tension and also making the later scenes feel less emotional.

Cant agree more i wish they didn't skipped so much. I'll switch to manga after this anime get's finished.

It could've easily got an 8+ if they didn't did this anime dirty. Many people criticize it for being slow paced but there's a lot of amazing slow paced anime and this should've been one of them because the manga was slower but it felt more natural and engaging.
