The Case Study of Vanitas
| Has anyone realized that one katakana displayed at the ending cards of every episode? It is different every episode so I wondered if there are actually some hidden meanings behind them. Here's a list of the katakanas paired with their respective episode numbers: Episode 1: ト (to) Episode 2: タ (ta) Episode 3: ボ (bo) Episode 4: ツ (tsu) Episode 5: モ (mo) Episode 6: ビ (bi) Episode 7: ニ (ni) Episode 8: サ (sa) Episode 9: イ (i) Episode 10: ウ (u) Episode 11: ト (to) Episode 12: キ (ki) Total: トタボツモビニサイウトキ Hiragana Variant: とたぼつもびにさいうとき My Japanese skills are only good enough to recognize the sound combination toki forming the word 時 which translates to time. (Which also has a chance to not be relevant at all.) So yeah, thoughts? EDIT: |

I tried various combinations of hiragana on dictionary and 細雨 as for saiu at the end came out. So 細雨 時 would mean "when the misty rain" or "On the occasion of misty rain" btw where did they show these cards you're mentioning? I completely missed them lol. |

| According to someone on twitter: https://twitter.com/supernoeva_/status/1439142622614876164 the katakana in every end title card of each episode spells out 「トタボツモビニサイウトキ 」which can be rearranged to サビツイタキボウトトモニ (錆びついた希望と共に) or the title of Memoire 1 😮 |
