| "Killing someone is easy, just forget the taste of sugar" I ponder if the same thing will happen with Dr. Kenzou and Nina Anna one of them realizing that yes, Johan is evil AF but he is a human after all thus discarding their idea of killing him leaving his fate to the authorities/justice system or the opposite, one of them decide to pull the trigger thus forgetting about the sugar/that he is a human being. Can't wait to see how all of this gets resolved. |

| I knew something was odd about Rosso, he was just a little *too* nice. Not sure what I'm supposed to think of him now, but he did drop a really badass quote. |
| Man, I never thought that that person was a hitman. Great character development episode. I never thought there was such a strong message of killing from the hitman. He mans that if you were to kill, you will never enjoy the pleasures of a normal life. |

| The first episode without Tenma as far as I know, and it was a pretty good one at that. I've realized that something was wrong with Rosso before, whenever this show introduces characters that are seemingly great people, they usually hide something, which is suited for this show's theme in my opinion. Anyways, although a bit slow paced, this was an enjoyable episode and I especially liked the line at the end. |

| When Rosso turned up, all welcoming and giving a bear hug to Anna, I was like, this guy is too nice. I thought he would either he turn out as a bad guy or die. I guess I was right ^^. |
| “killing people is easy. just forget the taste of sugar.” sugar is sympathy for mr rosso. this is the sweetness that adds to his life, much like how he is a very caring individual at his restaurant. he had placed himself in the place of his victim, knowing that he would be taking away enjoyment from another human. that human could very well be himself. i found it interesting that he had been portrayed two different ways. an earnest, amiable restaurant owner and a cold-hard, ruthless killer. the fucking plot convenience is so fitting, like fuck. nina is a student studying law. she is involved with the law. she knows suspects and other fine details. i wish i could be as happy as people at work at anime lmao. everything seems to be friction free. everyone likes you, everyone smiles at you, everything goes well. lol i know it’s just a show. i found it interesting that this episode was jumping back and forth between thee past and present, and finally the distant present. it made figuring out the story more satisfying. one thing that struck my mind was how nina claimed to be training for a year, while being with mr rosso for 6 months. the remaining six months leaves me question what she did. was it her prostitute gig? or did she find something else, knowing mr rosso’s background. |

| Great great episode.Monster just doesn’t waste its episodes, even the ones that have no Tenma in them are very important and great on their own. Someone like Rosso being an elite assassin is just one of amazing surprises this show already has given me. Anna leaving the city adds more questions about what will upcoming episodes about her be about. |
| This anime isn’t what i expected at all, some of these episodes so far have really enjoyable short stories. The quote at the end “Killing people is easy, just forget the taste of sugar” was awesome. |

| From professional hitman to Italian restaurant owner, to think 5 spoons of sugar could change a persons life (and also unknowingly save one) 'Killing a person is easy. Just forget the taste of sugar' This sad line hitting hard knowing Rosso doesn't remember good things from his youth like movies or even all the good food he ate. |

lol the reason why he doesn't kill was so anti-climactic it made me legitly lol, I'm thinking "thats it?" and on queu he goes, "that's the only reason, nothing more, just because he drank his coffee like I do", funny shit their.

| Did you all notice that Rosso stopped smiling the moment it was revealed that he is an ex assassin? And he never smelled again until the end of the episode. It’s like his old self came back. |
