| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This was like watching a final boss fight with everything coming together in the end as Hiro and his friends go beyond their limits. At long last, Leon takes his defeat and honestly, I'm not surprised. He had it coming. Not a bad finale but some of these latest episodes didn't feel like card games anymore lol |

I don't know how you not only manage to be as cliché as SV(TV) is, but then also execute those clichés worse than if you just played them entirely straight. This is bad even by the standards of the card game genre. |

| See. While I liked the idea of Shadowverse, and some characters were nice. For sure was better than Sevens. But still wasn't great at all. Was slow at times, hell those last few eps of 'waking up' could've been cut honestly. As by time we got to the last few people, it felt like 'Come on, get it over with already' vibes with it. I don't see this continuing, unless it's next season just follows a generic battle tourney. |
| I haven't cringed so much watching an anime before. This would have been ok for a kid show IF it's not about card , which rules and fairness should be held beyond all else. There's no rules, and they just spit out whatever effect they said so. Sure a card with 7 abilities, power of friendship during a 1 v 1 match lolz.. The fact that mc never even lost once , nor his mentality ever change even once makes this an extremely shallow/ hollow show , especially for a 4 cour show. This is extremely lazy writing which mc never face any real obstacle or turning point. This would have been fine IF Hiro is NOT the mc, but a side character. But alas we have an unbeatable/ shallow protagonist that never learn anything or change in any way for 48 episodes. |

| With power of friendship or whatever they won. Everything returns to normal and the it ends with Lucia and Hiro's battle which is a fitting end for this anime. Man what a drag this was, this became boring af at some point. Please no season 2. |

| the first 20 eps feel typical and cliched but overall, I kind of like the absurd tone shift to world ending plot and how over-the-top they went with broken card designs. Ngl, broken cards were the most interesting things out of this show. Ofc i'm far too used to seeing top decking that I'm not bothered by it anymore. Without a doubt, the anime is ridiculous but it is charmingly ridiculous (either for character aesthetics or some minor plot beats) that i find myself watching it every week. Even its world ending plot feels very comfy sometimes. Perhaps, i can watch anything as long as i find it comfortable to watch. Well, being a shotacon, i have huge tolerance towards Hiro more than anyone else anyways. I honestly think this show can pass if you just think it is some sort of a card game anime parody. |
