As Hartmann said, Johan is a born leader, already so clever and cunning at such an early age. It's no wonder that he's viewed as a masterpiece by those who attempt to create the perfect soldier. Dieter just so happens to be groomed by Hartmann to be similar to Johan, but 1 single shred of hope and kindness by Tenma allows him to see through the bullshit and made a decision for himself to stand up and sought after the sort of life different from what he used to know thus far |

| Im still not sure what is mental state of Johan mostly because we dont know what happened with him before he came to the Germany.I feel like even he was born with some mental issues there gonna be a moment when he start to turn into what he is now. For now I dont think he truly belong to any category I dont see him as psychopath or sociopath but in the same time its a fiction so the portrayal of him csn be just mic of everything.
