A pretty wholesome and needed episode. I like the combination of a classic training arc (episode?) alongside the touching tale

That was a surprisingly heartwarming episode ! The ending made me so happy. This show has been very tragic so far so it's nice to have a happy ending for once. And this episode really knew how to make me care for the characters, which made it all the better.

I wonder what exactly does Tenma have in mind. Is he planning to find Anna and gets prepared in case Johan shows up, or is he heading directly towards Johan to confront him ? Either way I don't know how he will be able to find them, Anna left without telling where she went and Johan could really be anywhere.
Another problem is that Tenma is now suspected of murder, he is pretty much seen as a fugitive right now even if he technically isn't.
And this has me wonder what is Johan's exact plan. It is clear he is a psychopath who only cares about his sister, it is also clear he is the one behind the last murder Tenma is accused of, but why did he release the guy before killing him ? At first I thought he wanted for Tenma to be accused but when I think about it why didn't he let the guy tied up then ? He is a very interesting but also very mysterious and dangerous characters and I'm afraid to find out what will be his next move, I really doubt Tenma will be able to defeat him when they see each other again. And that makes me think, the guy who trained Tenma (I totally forgot his name) said he doesn't know if he will be able to use a gun to kill someone. It makes me realize that on one hand, we have someone full of humanity, and on the other hand a pure psychopath. That's a very interesting parallel, with that I think I'm starting to get an idea of what kind of path the show will take.

Complicated and sad relation the ex-soldier and little girl have, but their dinners ended up very wholesome with the little girl being able to laugh once again indirectly thanks to Tenma's beef potato dish

Wholesome.

We've reached the training arc.

Despite Tenma's motives, he's still a gentle and kind man.

Good, dude didn't snitch on him.

Tenma has been training for 5months to be a badass perhaps he might have what it takes to pull the trigger. I’m glad they recapped the training instead of just mentioning it like the usual time skip. Nice to see the girl laughing shame about her story though. GI Joe was cool seems like the girl forgave him the feels we’re good with this one.

This episode kinda reminded me of this one episode from Berserk where Guts stays in a remote location where a black smith and his adopted daughter live he would train there while the black smith would occasionally make or repair Gusts sword this episode kinda reminded of that moment

Train all you want but when it's time to kill you'll still won't be prepared mentally, especially being a doctor who's philosophy is to save lives

Tenma is unironically the ideally good character but somehow doesn't feel unnatural and out of place

A wholesome episode indeed, hope the instructor and his adopted child live a peaceful life henceforth

Oh, she laughed! That was wholesome.I'm glad she got to spend time with Tenma and picked up some of his mannerisms.

Another person who refuses to sell out Tenma, first the hospital patients, and now his teacher.

Eva could learn a thing or two from them.

I'm gonna be annoying and ask how the hell did the detective even find out that Tenma had trained with this guy? He lives off the grid in the middle of the woods, and Tenma hasn't left any trails that could lead the detective to believe he went to find a trainer to shoot guns, much less this specific guy.

Also, the guy told him the whole story, so he told him that Tenma had never shot a gun until he went there to train. And the guy even made a point to say that if Tenma ever chose to shoot a person, it could be something that defines him. So, logically, he shouldn't be a murder suspect anymore because all the murders were committed with guns. But well, I'll have to see the next episode to find out.

BRO JUST HAD AN ENTIRE TRAINING ARC?!?!?

Tenma did the right move to actually train to use a firearm along with training his own physical capabilities, if he ever wanna get into the actions he got into like with the Anna incident before, he must at least do this much. As the trainer said, shooting a living human being is different than shooting a target, but at least we now know, morality aside, Tnema is capable of shooting using a pistol.

On the other hand, this is not just an episode to depict Tenma undergoing a steadily more stoic personality and more sinister intention, he still has that cheerful side to him, and thanks to his presence with the trainer and that young girl, he has lightened the mood in that household permanently, leaving behind a happy girl with his thankful adoptive father. Tenma's bedside manners can be applied outside the hospital and it definitely works.

I like the more easy-going pace of this episode, compared to the previous episodes. It's a nice little break from the tense and anxious mood we've felt so far. I just hope that this is temporary, and it most likely is. I feel like this will establish some very intriguing plot points for the rest of the show.

Also, nice Morrowind door opening sound.
