Cameras, internet, etc. And this not only includes the internet itself, but specific internet protocols, such as streaming.

Smartphones.
As useful as they are, they also cause parents to be way into their kids' business and they don't allow for any kind of chill. Gotta reply to your bud's message within 3 seconds or you're lonely for the rest of your life.

Webcams.
They always get hacked and nobody even uses them anymore.

Email.
It's ridiculously expensive to send a postcard these days and elderly are forced to turn to social media.

This is a form of social media though. Social media isn't really the problem. The problem is mostly people who have no clue what they are doing getting on it.

I'd say in general any technology that makes life harder. The whole point of it is to make life easier after all. For example apple's products that you have to buy multiple adapters for or have to replace constantly. I get that it's a cash grab but it's still ridiculous to me.

For the most I think technology has been somewhat helpful. Sure, social media is ruining lives left and right, but because of social media many small creators have been able to gain more attention, and news is able to spread faster than ever before.

im just worried that it won’t be long until the roombas get minds of their own and begin to plot revenge on the humans that enslaved them for floor cleaning

Non-military drones. There needs to be a whole lot more regulation on them because they're becoming cheaper and cheaper every year. It'll become quite dangerous if it continues.

yeah, life expectancy has doubled, infant mortality isn't even 1/100 of what it used to be, people are more equal than ever before..

I wish we could go back to the middle ages.

Exactly. The good 'ol days where we work 24/7 to feed our 9 kids and satisfy our benevolent feudal lords. Compared to that, these demonic capitalist and their hellish merit system and their bullshit scientific progress allies are ruining humanity.

Smartphones are making us we're getting lonely and more isolated, now fewer white people are getting married and are having children, and now Europe is being flodded with large number of migrants from Europe and Middle East to counteract with declining population.

Also, digital music is making us more extremeful and more powerful messy.

(sorry for my poor English)

Smartphones definitely. We just needed phones to make and receive calls, not to take selfies in the bathroom, play stupid games and spend the whole day watching its screen while chatting.

People just dedicate too much time of their lives in front of the smartphone screen, in unhealthy levels. Smartphones have really become the 21st century neo-slavery.

Cellphones were the biggest mistake, in my opinion.

Technology is great, but I hate "mobile" technology. People have turned into walking zombies.

I miss on how Japan used to be a huge dominant in technology back in 1960s through 2000s, now Korean, Chiense and Taiwanese tech firm dominate the eletronic industry since 2010s and onwards.

Tech done by Korean, Chinese and Taiwanese we're often mistakes, in my opinions.

Men above the lowest tier of peasantry actually lived reasonably long lives. It wasn't uncommon for men reach into their late 60s, 70s

, infant mortality isn't even 1/100 of what it used to be,

infant mortality and childbirth mortality rates actually skyrocketed because people stopped going to midwives and started going to hospitals. Turns out doctors thought washing your hands was admitting you were lower class so they refused to do so until almost the early 1900s.

people are more equal than ever before..
We have more inequality than any other time.

I wish we could go back to the middle ages.

Don't worry, Limits to Growth correct techno-industrial society is most likely gonna collapse in our lifetimes which will be combined with climate change will cause the deaths of billions of people and will destabilize society as billions more seek refuge in less-affected countries.
