It's been a while since when an episode ends, I'm so annoyed because I have to wait a week for the next one but if I wait to marathon it, the suspense will kill me. I can't believe how much I enjoy everything about this show. Two episode ago, we were dealing with a headless faerie and a doctor with a headless fetish getting character development. Then we had a typical school episode that turned out not to be typical school episode. Now we have an episode about, normally, would be the minor of the minor characters (though given that they're "Dollars" they'll probably be important). Nothing less from Baccano's author anyway. -So we've met everybody in the OP that was named right? Except for the dude with the dreads and hangs out with Shizuo. -I got a good laugh at the "torture scene" and them using Dokuro-chan and Ladies versus Butlers. (Was that a plug? That show is still airing) -Next week....SHIZUO EPISODE! |

But if you really want to simplify things up, I'll give you a purpose: find Celty's head. Shinra is the bad guy since he doesn't want it to be found. |

| Ok, I love the torture based on light novels, that was epic. However, can someone tell me what all 5 are (I know Bokusatsu and Ladies v Butlers, and I think the last one is To Aru Majutsu no Index, but I'm not sure). If someone could tell me that'd be great. |

| I don't know for you people, but a creature that hasn't a head can watch TV and Hear people speaking is definitely weird (and why does she need a head since she is able to do anything like a normal headful human even riding a bike)... I mean there are limits for some one's imagination ... Well I won't really call this person an imaginative one since this Person is insane ^___^ Yeah ... Maybe you don't agree with me and yes when I am watching an anime I do want to know what its purpose is otherwise it won't be FUN at all ... I am really disapointed in that anime, I really thought it will be something since all the great seiyuu were brought to do the voices ... Well, I guess I was too sure of myself *cries* And by the way ... KIDA, screw you .... >.< I really hate this character and for the very first time in my life I am hating Mamoru miyano for doing his voice, it completely destroyed the image I had of him ... *sob* |

She is a supernatural being, a dullahan, so clearly she has abilities that far exceeds a normal human's expectations. There is a purpose to all that has been revealed so far. It obviously connects together into one overarching grand scheme that surrounds the Ikebukuro area. If you can't see it, then you simply don't understand what the anime is about. |

Sometimes, I'll say "None of this makes any sense" (I'll use Phantom as an example since it's the first one that came to mind), and I'll list many inconsistencies and ambiguities that were passed off as an explanation. More often than not, the first reply I'll get is "Why do you have to be spoon-fed everything. This is for adults who can think for themselves." Really though, that's just a bad excuse for a poorly focused story, and despite attempts to rationalize the plot, nothing happens. Then we have cases like this and Eden of the East, where I see what's going on, realize that there is a distinct lack of information for the sake of mystery (not ambiguity, this is very different), and someone comments how nothing makes sense. What is seemingly different, is that more people in this case like to say "I don't like my shows to make sense, that's was so fun." When really, that's not what the person was asking for. So, motoko, as was mentioned in Kida's monolgue at the end of last week's episode, the purpose of this show is to come to understand how everyone is connected. We got flashes of this by knowing how the structure of the Dollars works, seeing how the stalker boy is related to the doctor performing human experiments who in turn elicits the help of the lame kidnappers who were hired by Izaya to kidnap the girl in the second episode. We also are given hints that Kida was in some gang (color or Dollars, we're not sure yet) before Mikado comes into town sniffing around about everything. Lots of connections were made in this episode. It's understandable that it was overwhelming, because I didn't really notice until right before they did the flashback to Celty saving the girl from the second episode. It's there though, and because of that, I feel like this is the cleverest show of the season, and I hope it doesn't disappoint. |

I think you are kind of wasting your time here because this individual doesn't have a problem with just the mystery of the show but with the fantastic elements. Elements like that, ether you accept them or you don't. If you can't accept them you won't enjoy the show and just complain about the lack of realism. It's kind of stupid if you ask me because is like watching Evangelion and instead of analyzing the scenario you can't get your head around on how can creatures like Angels and Eva's exist. Is something similar on putting some beer loving guy from Texas that loves westerns in frond of the screen to watch Ghost in the Shell. He want get it. His just gonna wonder what is this shit with human that aren't humans, strange little robots on wheels that talk and people speaking about strange computer and political boring staff. OH! fuck it let's put John Wayne back and see some shooting. It just isn't his style. |

| Hahaha, this is another big puzzle of the whole picture called durarara. My guess was exactly right, those quadruple gang was dollars. Izaya is definitely involved in dollars too, might be a leader of whole thing. Celty is also part of dollars I guess. Human experiment? Damn, I got a bad feeling about this. I can't wait for the next episode. (*apparantly, it will be about our shinzou-chan <3) |
