| The frustrating thing for me about this arc, is that the last 20-30 chapters have been entirely focused on character which most of the readers don't particularly care about (Mari, Meiko, and Kate). The things that I (and alot of the readers) are entertained by are ofc Kiyoshi, the chairman/assman, Hana (HanaxKiyoshi), and the boys (regardless of what you think of them individually, their shenanigans as a collective are what make this manga). Yet this cavalry battle arc has been devoid of alot of these elements - which is an unfortunate error on the authors part. This arc is the worst in the entire series IMO. I've only been skimming through the last 10 or so chapters, reading only the dialogue of the first and last page. I understand how the boys feel right now though - the wet t-shirt contest does feel like a distant dream. |

I can understand Meiko (never enjoyed her character) and my stance with Kate is sorta neutral because she does have her charming points, but not with Mari. I can understand people not caring about her from the 1st arc alone or that you were thinking in terms of who is the more popular female character with Hana easily taking the cake, but Mari is easily the 2nd most popular female character in the series. Her development from the 2nd arc and onward did wonders to her character. Sure people might be angry with how she has been treating Kiyoshi in the cavalry arc but I see it as a temporary issue. Her misandry isn't gonna heal overnight. And plus from what we've seen from the 2nd arc, she clearly trusts Kiyoshi. Everything is pointing to the USC and the boys becoming friends in the end. Otherwise, Mari's character development would have been for nothing. |

| Hiramoto is aware of his dragged-out antics and teases us by stating the obvious. Those goddamn angels of death better steer clear of the Chairman coz if he dies, that'll start up a mini-flashback arc about his life xD Gakuto looks so happy...aaaand he got launched by the PBR Hana-bi Thruster. Where he will end up is a mystery but at least it can fly now as well. |

| I am genuinely curious about the number of comments bashing this arc. I thought this chapter, along with the entire arc was absolutely hilarious. I was laughing out loud at least once in each chapter. It might be because I can read multiple chapters since the manga ended and I don't have to wait for the next chapter, but I genuinely think this arc is the funniest the manga has ever been. |
