When everything is said and done, you shouldn't ask for more (at least from the same settings).
A neverending story is never a good one (except for the novel and movie of "The neverending story", ironically). People here should learn to appreciate that.

(Not so long ago, Dracula was a well delimited story for example. But someone decided to excavate it and it happened to be useless.)

nah the reason i usually watch original anime like this one is to see proper endings of a story and this one did that

so a sequel will just drag it more and you know sequels are usually bad

and this anime was planned to be split-cours from the beginning so it has no real second season technically speaking

No offense, but I've seen you more than once around these forums, and almost all the time, I see you asking for another season or if another season was announced.

The chances of this show getting another season is virtually none. A movie, possibly, but I don't see that happening. The show's story has already run its course. There's nothing left to talk about really.

If they were to make another season, it'd just make the first 2 seasons' story cheap.

I loved the ending and personally think it tied the series together pretty well, but there are some things that could be explored a bit more, especially since they did kind of introduce a LOT of concepts, some even pretty late in the game. But do we need a season 3, no. They could do an after series, like a next generation sort of thing, as having the previous characters mentor the next generation could be a new development. There could also be some new team dynamics thrown into the mix. like sibling complications in-team or maybe one of the kids didn't ever birth a successor and has to find someone compatible or one of them, like Shizuku or Kogane didn't have kids and stayed on the team to play the main mentor while all the other previous protags play minor mentoring roles. Just me rambling, but there's some potential for a continuation, I just think next generation or completely new characters, would be the right way to go. If they did completely new characters they could flesh out more parts of the series without detracting from the original two seasons story. It also takes off a lot of limitations.
