I'd love to watch Mitarai's anime. Owning my very living Mikan hug pillow as well would be a lovely thing indeed~

Junko got the brains, beauty, and brawn. Sparking a massacre with her sister like it's business. The brutality, especially the Freddy Jason Chainsaw one is hell in a basket. Censorship is sadly plenty :(

That Red Bull product placement :3

This anime feels like an insult when you have played the two games. The only good thing is the interaction between the class 77 allthough the animation, pacing and etc are a lackluster.

I just wish that a half decent studio would take over this anime.

Great Imposter's Santa Claus belly be all up on that nurse.

That chainsaw had "JASON FREDDY" on it lol. I think the student council killing each other was the best episode. It's still not as gory or violent as other things I've seen and quite subpar since whether it be in the game or in the anime I can't take the purple pink blood seriously at all.

Now, with the final episode coming in seven days... Will they release the 11th episode AND 12th episode to make it perfectly smooth? Because after seeing Miran-hen 12 will there really be any point of waiting another 3 days...

That donuts+banan moment xD
How can they do that mass-killing without the school knowing who did it?...
And wtf is wrong with Hinata? Wasn't he reprogrammed to hate despair and be the Nº1 Mr.Hope....

This episode was fantastic.
The way it used music and the episode's general presentation was very similar to the Evangelion Rebuild films. I'm really glad this series is finally picking up.

Wow, actually seeing the student council massacre was pretty intense. The song used during it was a good fit. Things are really ramping up, that's for sure. I have a feeling that Hinata and Chiaki's reunion will be... less than pleasant

Well that escalated quickly, Junko used Izuru as a scapegoat and she also only addressed him as the one behind the killing, this episode was really dark and gruesome and so much censoring.

- This episode was too crazy for me... I loved it! If this is the prologue to DR Zero, this might be the last time Izuru makes an appearance and Matsuda and probably Ryouko will show up. Unless they are skipping straight to the end of DR Zero, which I won't mind as it means more Junko.

- That girl with the yellow hood though, people are trying to kill you and you expect a frying pan to save you. Genius.

This is a bloody murder show with tons of killer intent....
First time watching a show with this much blood shed.....but I'm determined to finish it to the end.

Junko is intent on witnessing and causing so much murder in Hope Peak High School.

What's weird is people said to watch the Future Ark before this one....so I did but the events in Despair occur way before the first season....Despair, in my opinion is a lot better than Future..

If I got to watch Despair ark before Future....I would of gotten a better understanding about some of the characters before they were killed in the Future ark especially the teacher.

He's there but wasn't he supposed to survive the Tragedy? Maybe he hid somewhere...

The student council butchering felt kinda rushed to me: I think one more episode could've been spent on building up the incident and showing its consequences. As things are it just looks like an animated summary of something we all already know, and that ain't very good.

It's okay tho, the blatant Nagito fanservice made up for it.

So, did anyone catch the fact that the place where Izuru was shot was literally THE EXACT SAME PLACE that Hajime was shot in the Neo World Program during Monomi'a execution? I absolutely love that symbolism that Spike Chunsoft gave here.

It was pretty shocking episode, but I loved the funny moments. The donut and banana scene was hilarious. Mukuro was also great in this episode.

Yeah, this episode made me rembember about Danganronpa/Zero. I hope to see Matsuda and maybe "Ryoko".

Finished the 7th despair arc episode

-just like last episode, the beginning was pretty awesome (and makes sense too. it is exaggerating stuff that actually,to a much lesser degree ofcourse, exists IRL. that makes it believable when watching). the difference is that the rest of the episode was pretty awesome too.

-and we see a random shot of Komaeda's naked butt, fan service of a different kind XD

-so 20 employees are missing. pretty sure those are the ones Junko killed.

-the redbull joke was funny lol. Junko is a slavedriver XD

-So when she saw the anime for the second time, her super analytical skills activated and she was able to figure out how each of his mind tricks were used. now she can implement them herself. great XD

-Fairly certain that Junko's implementation will lead to the "Reserves all killing themselves" incedent through showing them a video that she manipulated telling them to do so.

-when the event started i was like "regular students yet not in blue? weird". turns out they werent so regular afterall lol.

-they say that Junko forced them to come by sending them a video. i wonder what was in that video. it was never revealed. my guess would be some sort of an attack threat on them unless they come.

-I have to say,the events in that scene were AWESOME. they were executed masterfully too, with the song making a beautiful contrast to what we are seeing. they were also pretty believable,as Junko literally combined all her DR1 "Motives" and presented them at the same time: Secrets, Videos, and Money, so ofcourse someone will fall (the girl whose mom was kidnapped) and once one falls they all fall. it made sense and was pretty entertaining to watch, except for the damn sensors >_>. I guess we now know what that bloody DR room was lol, although Monokuma claimed he had nothing to do with it then, which i guess was technically correct,as it was Junko not monokuma that did it XD

-my only nitpick is that how did the guy aim and shoot after his head got cut off lol? but like i said,it is just a minor nitpick.

-and then exposing Hope's peak for what it really is,with a bit of spice on top. genius!

-and like i stated multiple times before, Nanami is saved because Junko will kill her directly.

this is by far the best episode of the despair arc, maybe even of all DR3. it is weird how the best episode and the worst episode happened in the same week lol. still, this atleast washed the bad taste of that future episode out of my mouth.

Edit: Forgot to mention that i hope mind control in the despair arc is only used to make the reserves kill themselves (it makes perfect sense in that scenario). i want the 77th to grow despaired naturally from the events surrounding them+ junko manipulating indiviualized events in their life (like Teruteru's mom). Mind control is the best explanation of the huge suicide, but the transformation is important to enjoy the 77th change.

Gee, that was dark! A lot happened this episode and I’m guessing the fast pacing was totally the intended course from the creators, and it’s pretty darn unsettling as a whole to say the least.

Finally the grand “most inducing and etc. event” and it has certainly lived up in terms of the gore-y factor but the buildup from the Student Council Members in particular was terribly handled. Just felt like they were killing each other for the sake of it really, more than anything else.

But well, guess it’s a huge step forward for Junko-chan who continues to impress me. It’s been a while since I’ve seen such a charismatic, despair-inducing and manipulative villain so it’s a nice treat in that aspect. Mukoro and Junko’s interactions are a real treat too, lol. Fudge, those wiggling eyeballs though, absolutely can’t stand that...

(Fake) Mitarai is slowly picking up on something, meanwhile. But I’m afraid his pace is going to be easily overrun by Junko-chan’s plans.

Now, it’ll be interesting to see how the Remnants of Despair will come to existence. I feel like the Sensei will be amiss during the manipulation and hence the guilt but it’s hard to predict this series so I’m hoping for a few cliffhangers along the way.

My friend asked me if I had seen the ‘please give me wings’ scene and that I’d know it when I saw it. And well, talk about gratuitous and edgy! It reminded me of Another in the ways the kids were murdering each other in such over the top ways. And with that song, it made for a memorable scene if nothing else. Also, seeing the classroom full of kids and remembering the bloody classroom in Danganronpa 1 made me immediately intrigued and nervous.

Also, it’s obviously not always the case with cases like the ultimate clairvoyant who is 100% right 30% of the time, or the affluent prodigy who is basically ‘talented’ as a birthright, but if Junko is able to use Ryota to usher in her reign with brainwashing and the majority of talented people can do anything at all within the reach of their talent, I’m starting to see the talented people as X-men mutants. This is especially the case with the anime but seeing it in this light, the extreme binary of talented and worthless feels more earnest.

I was so confused when the blood was red in Future Arc. Is it because Junko is no longer in charge there? Also, Izuru did not kill those 14 children so why was it mentioned that he had? Was it because he confessed to it? Does Hopes Peak not have security cameras? I would assume not as the twins have taken Izuru out of his confinement with no punishment..

I was also very surprised to see Komaeda and the plane crash incident. In Danganronpa 2, he mentions it and I guess I just assumed it happened earlier in his life? But if Junko took all of his school memories, was it because he was suspended that memory wasn't erased?

Let's see if any of my questions are answered if I just finished watching the show...

What a despair-inducing episode! I did not expect all of those students to kill eachother!

The only hopeful aspect of this episode was the scene with Nagito having a shower in the waterfall, although that should've been a longer scene ngl.

That was the most tragic event that started this all? Kind of disappointing. Basically just Junko telling them either they kill each other or they are killed by her. They should have left it unshown. This was less tragic than the actual killing games IMO. Mostly because it felt so absolutely random. No build-up, no tension, nothing. Just Junko telling them to do that now. Maybe it would have helped to see their motivations but those were put in the box and never seen again.

After this stuff was hyped up throughout three games I was really hoping for more.
