| Not sure if this is the right place to post but there are a few functions I was wondering about and I didn't see them in any searched threads. Is it possible to see a characters favourite rank (i.e. most favourited is rank 1) anywhere or is current total members with it as favourite the only figure available? Is there a way to find music info about a piece of music used in an anime if it's not on the ost/youtube, (the one I have in mind I know the name of but can't find the version), or is there a place on the forums to ask? Is there any way to view average score by source material types? |

| 1. No, afaik there's no way to do that outside of the characters list Wings linked you to. 2. Not unless it's the OP/ED theme. You could ask in the specific series' board, though. 3. No :c You can't even search by source. These would be useful features, though. |

Edit the number after "limit=" in the url to jump to that part of the rankings. Example of me searching: http://myanimelist.net/character/41610/Mayu_Morita I can see 26 member favourites from the character page go on http://myanimelist.net/character.php then click next 50 = still in the high thousands. Jump to http://myanimelist.net/character.php?limit=5000. Still 42 favourites. http://myanimelist.net/character.php?limit=8000 is on just 17, though. http://myanimelist.net/character.php?limit=7000 is 22. http://myanimelist.net/character.php?limit=6500 is 25 so almost there so click prev 50. Onto 26 but ctrl-f reveals she isn't on that page. Onto the next page and there she is at 6444th. All in all probably takes about 3 minutes. |

That's perfect thanks, didn't know about the limit function. Yeah the 3rd one might be a nice implementation would be a nice feature but the 2nd one would probably be incredibly micro heavy for the database and have minimum return. I've never before had trouble tracking down a track, the issue here is that I'm trying to track down the violin cover of "You raise me up" in Romeo X Juliet but there's over 1000 covers of that song and even filtering to violin, orchestra, string and many other things, japanese names english names, checking info on anime, asking on boards, nothing has worked. I don't think this will happen very often XD |
