| Let's be honest, if he would hire some assistant to do the actual drawings it would be a lot faster. But he doesn't want to spend money on that, and I can't say that I have something against him for not doing it, but what happens if he reaches the point when he won't be able to draw at all, will he abandon the manga or will he hire assistants? |

| Is it necessary for him to do the drawing? he can write the story and pass it for somebody else to draw so the manga continues. I bet other mangaka do that do no? |

| No way, since there's not much to adapt. At best they could do the Hisoka onsehot, or a few episodes as OVAs. Orrr.... Go down the Naruto route and churn out fillers. No thanks to that. |
| Necroing this thread but damn it's so sad that Togashi planned what looks like a huge arc for the Dark Continent, with all the strong characters in the same place (Hisoka, Kuroro, Netero's son, Ging, obviously Gon/Killua gonna get on a boat at some point), and Ging finally being there but... everything is moot because hiatus... At this rate Im afraid there's only 3 possible options that would be: - Best case scenario Togashi finally stops going on hiatus too often and in a few years (minimum) when he finished the entire Dark Continent arc, an anime adaptation would likely happen if the hype didn't die already. Unlikely anything happens before at least 2020 even in the best case scenario Im afraid. - Togashi keeps going on hiatus for ages every 10 chapters, Dark Continent arc will be dragged out for years/decades/centuries so no reason to adapt an unfinished arc, and the manga will never be finished. - Togashi does like Yu Yu Hakusho and admits he's done with this work and gives HxH a rushed ending coming out of nowhere Sadly option 2 or 3 are much more likely than the first and even the first wouldn't happen for years due to how long Dark Continent arc should be... :'( At this point all I want is the manga to at least keep going at a decent-ish pace until we finally see Ging fight or Gon and Killua become actually strong !!! |
