| Don't like the theory of that series being a prequel to the original. That means Miyu will suffer again :c Anyway I liked the subtle storytelling in this short and the pacing. All that shows that the creator really appreciates Makoto Shinkai's work. |

| This short anime is so beautiful, as someone who had a cat who became 18 year old, this hits so many feels. Especially the part in episode 3, when miyu is sitting on her bed saying "help me", and Daru goes in a monologue saying "her pain and suffering gripped my heart, I know more than anyone how hard she tries, I want to help her, but I can't even reach her anymore" as he tries to climb the bed next to her. Wow. As I saw my own cat becoming old, I can relate to this SO much. Funny how such a short anime, can tell a story more beautiful, than some other anime that are 20+ episodes or more long. Loved it! |

| This was much more emotional than I expected. I'm happy that Daru got reincarnated and met Miyu again. The best possible ending. My first cat died in 2018 and I always remember how bad it felt. |

| knew it was gonna happen, but his death really caught me off guard and unprepared :( really great anime, did a lot of emotions to me along those 4 episodes. 8/10 |

| An outright 10/10 Anime. A small but yet strikingly beautiful anime. The most soothingly melancholic anime.  |

| Miyu was depressed so Daru called her mother :0 It was good to see them share a few laughs together, Daru likes to see them laugh. At first when Daru's passing away was implied I didn't actually get it and kept watching thinking he just fell asleep, had to go back and watch again. That truly was the most peaceful death in the anime I'v ever seen. Daru will live in Miyu's heart forever. This anime perfectly shows us how valuable pets are for someone, how much they can mean to them and how much it hurts after thier passing. It had been am year since Daru and now Miyu has gotten a job and is doing well, she still gets sad sometimes thinking about Daru. Apparently Daru got reincarnated as another cat and now Miyu finds him and adopts him. And so they meet again, Daru kept his promise. Happy ending to a great story. Will watch it again another time. |

| I normally don't cry, and I knew it would end with Daru dying after the first opening scene but man that got me. I've had many animals over the years and it's always so painful to let them go. My first cat ever, that I found when I was 3, is now 21 years old and still here but I know it can't be for too much longer. I've been thinking of the limited time I have with him and this hit so close to home :( And amazing anime for what it is, didn't expect something so short to punch me in the feels as hard as it did. 8/10 |

| That would have so much better without the dumb cat inner monologue lol, 7/10. Really enjoyed everything else, especially the struggles of being a working adult. |
| Who started cutting all of these onions!? For real though, I don’t think I’ve even cried so much over an animal’s death in anime before, but Daru :( The short after credits scene was so sweet that I started crying even more, I’m so happy they get to be together again! |
