at this pont everyone suspected it was the teacher, but still well-executed reveal.

I started suspecting the teacher a short while back, but this was really well done. Great episode, which seems like a norm for this show to be fully honest.
Have a great day!

I am so disappointed by this anime. The « plot twist » about the teacher being the killer was so obvious that I’ve been hoping for many episodes that he wouldn’t be. Tbh that was stupid, and so was Satoru. He is supposed to be 29 yo and he didn’t even suspect the teacher for one second.
That is a big flaw in the scenario

Oh no. I knew my sus vibes are going off. This man really out here killing my boy Satoru. The execution of the episode was really well done, in my opinion. I'm really curious about how it's going to go from here, but I'm excited for it.

alright so, that was predictable.

although the episode didn't hit me too much, it was still a great episode in the last 15 minutes, to be the first part was sorta boring because it's similar to what we've already seen with Kayo. I do like the music in this episode a lot though. It just captures the moment. I can't believe he would abduct & kill children though.. like holy shit.. you're a teacher get a hold of yourself.

An intense episode, although it didn't really reach out to me as much because I already pretty much knew it was him (although I didn't know why he abducted/killed children).

4/5 for how predictable & how the beginning of the episode was repeated & sorta boring. Although I really like the execution. I'm expecting Satoru to be alive (because he is the MC after all), still dunno how though he'll manage to survive. Maybe that revival thing will take him back to the past? (still dunno). I feel like they could've made Yashiro do more harm for some reason, I think it just would've made the story fit together better, and give it more intensity.

Ok, so it’s not a red herring. Damn. The teacher really took advantage of his position to get close to kids. Sick man. Anyways, here’s hoping Satoru survived somehow.

I suspected the teacher like when they saved Kayo and the lollipops but I really did not want him to be the abductor

Well, my hunch was right. I'm almost a little disappointed because even though I had an eerie feeling about Yashiro, I still wanted to like him and I'd hoped he wasn't the culprit in the end. Disappointed but not surprised.

Honestly glad it’s the teacher, I hate when the reveal has absolutely zero evidence behind it. However, I think it’s a little odd Satoru had no suspicions after finding the candy and the fact that the teacher was there when he was following the one girl when he bumped into his mom too. Seeing as he’s actually 29 and not a kid, I’d be suspicious of any adult hanging around with kids as a profession and having tons of candy in his car if I was him.

Show quality is starting to take a noticeable dip. I've been reading that the show had more episodes than what we ended up with, so that may have greatly affected the overall narrative itself.

However, I still feel the show is starting to prolong its welcome. The Kayo arc was so masterfully done and one of the best storylines I've ever experienced in Anime that it would have taken something brilliant to keep my interest, and the story going.

The teacher being the culprit was way too obvious. It seemed almost laughably easy and borderline stupid to predict that he was the killer just cause of how blatant he was being set up as the villain. It felt very dissatisfying and immersion-breaking when the "big reveal" happened, and made Satorou look kind of like the idiot everyone throughout the show was claiming him to be.

Not saying I wanted a twist just for the sake of it, I just feel like it's bad writing/direction to have a narrative wrought with mystery (and relying heavily on it), only to have the "reveal" be much too apparent, in that everyone already knew who it was a number of episodes beforehand.

I don't really know if it's only me but this feels a bit rushed to be honest. The teacher being the murderer was getting kind of obvious with the little hints they provided.

People complain that the culprit was too predictable, but it adds to the tension. Like Satoru knowing about the kidnappings, we know who the culprit is. Kind of gives you an insight to what Satoru was feeling while knowing what was going to happen.

4 out of 5: Liked it!(my vote)
It was weird how the episode started with Satoru Fujinuma being sad in his graduation day when the episode's name is titled as "Joy".

Also, Satoru Fujinuma is like a time-traveling detective!

The girl, Aya, became friends with them too quickly lol. That's great.

My theories about the teacher, Yoshida, from the previous episode discussions were right! He already looked suspicious right from the beginning chapters! He is the real culprit! He is the p*****ile! He must be caught! Justice must be served for his victims in the other alternate timelines! I WAS RIGHT ABOUT MY THEORY!

So Satoru tries to save another potential target, Misato. But instead, he falls prey to the real culprit—which is kinda expected given the strange emphasis on him these past episodes (subtle eccentric expressions, knowledge about Kayo's safety even before Satoru turned her in, closeness to girl students, the candies). What happens to the future if kid Satoru dies? (Tho I know he won't lol)

i mean its not like the anime could just introduce a new character an go "this is the killer" so this reveal is fine by me
though i do think that Satoru should be able to free himself from the seatbelt

I have to wonder if they're gonna pull some stunt like Satoru's existence must be erased in order for none of the events he needed the revival to fix to even happen (or somethin like that).

Kinda wholesome how they protected the final targeted girl by having her get together with the big guy of the group.

What's less wholesome is drowning a kid in freezing water. To think I kept fighting the urge to pin him as the obvious culprit lol

I had my suspicions from a few episodes back that it was the teacher and I was current. his demeanor and choice of words were enough to make me think it was him

Well shit. The villain really was that obvious. I was hoping for more twists and turns, oh well.

The only thing I dislike about the story is the deus ex machina superpower. I wish there were rules established for it, other than "the plot demands it".
