 GA Bunko has announced at Gangan GA Fes. 2016 Spring that the light novel Sword Oratoria, a side story of Fujino Omori's light novel Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka, will be adapted into a TV anime.The light novel series, which began publishing in January 2014, is illustrated by Kiyotaka Haimura and has five volumes in print. A manga edition drawn by Takashi Yagi has also been publishing since May 2014. The light novel has been licensed in English by Yen Press, and the first volume is scheduled to be released this year. Sword Oratoria covers the story of the strongest first-class adventurer Ais Wallenstein, the "Sword Princess," and her desire to reach even greater heights with her friends in the Loki Familia. | Great. Ais was an empty and blind character in the main TV series, so this will help her for the characterization. Can't wait for season 2. |
| Oh I'm looking forward to this one. They can't kill the thing by adding hestia fan service in this one, and it's full of likeable characters. The only thing I'm not really happy about is that they're going to be facing a choice: rushing up to volume 4 to have a real epic ending or not rushing but then not adapting it (if they do a one cour adaptation, which will probably be the case). Either way, that's a freaking team of badasses. For those who were disappointed that danmachi wasn't focusing more on fighting high level monsters/opponents in dungeons, here we go. |

The adaptation of Danmachi is really making the sales go up, so as an advertisement it's clearly top level, but as a faithful adaptation it's very bad indeed. It may take a bit of time for it to be really interesting. For example one of the most important characters is Lefiya, who takes a bit more than 3 volumes to really overcome her difficulties. @omfgplzstop It's not that they can't, but it has a lot of action (and epic /high level action) and volume 4 is especially the most epic volume the author ever wrote by far (Not even counting the final boss of that volume, the whole passage from floor 52 to 58 was freaking epic) so it's very fitted for an anime adaptation. So they shouldn't need to alter it to please the fans. Well we may see mroe fanservice of the girls, maybe. The main problem I can see would be if they rush to get to the 4, use all their budget and then we have the same kind of low budget animation for the end of the series, screwing up the epicness of the scenes just like danmachi episode 13. What's the point of rushing toward an epic ending if you don't have the budget/time to animate it properly after reaching it? |

| Nice. I like this series as it delves more in the higher level dungeons and the inner dealings of the gods. It also gives some more characterization to Bell's target, Aiz. Will definitely watch. I'll try to grab the first volume of this in English to read it as well. |

| Anything to develop Aiz as a character; for someone so important in the main series, she really lacked a personality of any kind. I would've preferred a second season of the main series, but this'll do for now. |
| Ahh was hoping for a 2nd season but a spinoff about Ais aint bad either and maybe this is good news for a 2nd season in the future then perhaps, like while they wait for it they give us some side stuff to keep the fans around perhaps etc o.o |

It's less susceptible to be butchered to have animefans liking it ImO. So it depends on what you didn't like in Danmachi. Some things are quite different, some are not. For example if you didn't like Hestia and/or Bell, well that's obviously a good news here. Although you're getting Lefiya instead, which to be honest, up to volume 3 of SO isn't especially a good replacement. IF you hated the fact that Bell was progressing very fast and always had some new stuff to overcome difficulties in the anime, then good news as well. That's a team of badasses right here, they don't need that, they'll use their own already acquired abilities (OP or not) to get out of trouble. If you wanted more dungeon, or more team based battles, then it's good as well. And so on. If you wanted an older cast,then good as well. Ais is 16, and she's pretty much the youngest of them. |
