THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Good episode, liked the way the feelings of emotions where shown with the solid usage of the music.

Meanwhile, I think the story's pacing picked up even more with what Satoru discovered. I really like how Satoru's mother continuously look out for her kid though (very contrasting to Kayo's mom). Plus, she treats Kayo and her friends with kindness. Lol, at head pat. Cute.

I feel like this episode really gave Kayo a way to feel closure. That ending scene with the music and her expression...
I think Kayo's mother kind of lost her mind again but I'm glad to see Satoru and his mom intervene. Curious to see what will happen next time.

Weird that he didn't do anything to her, so she's ok. Her parents ran away as when the teacher and the staff from the center visited the house they are gone. With the content of the backpack, he realized that the culprit came.

He decided to bring her his home. The girl experiencing happy family moment with the mother. Wow @ Mother sensing everything he would do regarding to the girl, and she treated her well. lol @ even bought a girl pajama. Then final battle against the girl's mother?

25:10 next.

Another good episode. Kayo crying was sad ;_;. Satoru's mom is still a bamf! The ending was really intense. Still a little worried about the rest of the manga being fit into 4 episode. 3½/8 volumes done. 4½ left to go.

As I wipe the tears off of my face after that breakfast scene, this episode was truly beautiful

And I'm very happy to see that Kayo was okay....And I was even happier to see her cunt mother getting caught in the action too

Sachiko you the real mvp though

Right now is really obvious the teacher is the murderer for me. And that last scene o.o. The breakfast scene was touching. I'm getting the feeling the mother is going to be murdered in this timeline, don't know why, maybe because her conversation with the teacher.

1st half was thrilling, 2nd half was relaxing again...and sad

Even before Kayo cried, it was already sad....seeing Kayo in Satoru's home, as she never felt parental love before....

..but seriously, Satoru's mother was so damn perceptive

I loved the episode. Although, I'm just happy that we aren't left on a cliffhanger that tortures our very minds with the question of if everything is ok.

Great episode!

This episode was great! Finally, no eerie cliffhanger. It'd be amazing if Satoru's mom could adopt Kayo. Maybe she'll ask Kayo's mom to relinquish her parenting rights to her. Not sure if that's how it works or would be that easy but it'd be cool.

I still don't trust the teacher. He was wearing the same coat as the man who entered the bus Kayo was on.

Also, favorite scene:

"Am I getting in the way?"

"Yeah."

I think that's my favorite episode of the whole series I loved everything about it. Satoru's mom is just the best anime mom ever, and all the great moments with Kayo. Like when he got the gloves she made for him but never got in the past timeline ;-; or when Kayo realizes how better off she is now when looking at a breakfast more than instant noodles or ramen ;-;. Even the ending isn't killing me which I like and I'm still extremely interested in what happens with Kayos mom in the next episode. I wonder if he's going to do anything special for Hiromi too since he was also a part of the string of murders. This is like a 6/5 episode

Heart warming episode all around. I'm even more convinced the teacher is the killer now based off the jacket he was wearing this episode, of course it could just be a red herring.

How the hell can I not ship Satoru and Kayo when they're this cute together? The scene where Satoru told his mom she was in the way I burst out laughing.

When Kayo started breaking down when she looked at the breakfast Satoru's mom prepared, I literally started getting the feels myself and could barely contain my tears. This show is so fucking good at developing realistic character emotions and doing the character driven scenes.

I just wish Satoru and his mom could adopt Kayo, but of course that's probably not how it's going to go. Wonder what their plan is for confronting Kayo's mom at the end. At least this week wasn't a super huge cliff hanger.

Incredible episode. Very heartwarming!

Insanely lucky that the killer (?) didn't find Kayo in the bus. :O

My favorite moments adapted perfectly. Such a beautiful moment with Kayo waking up there at the end probably one of my favorites in the last few years.
Satoru still saying and doing things that crack me up. Great ending for a perfect conclusion and transition.

Now THAT was a healing episode. Satoru's mother is easily one of the best anime moms in recent memory, maybe all time. So damn perceptive. I can't remember atm if the bath scene was in the manga, but I enjoyed it as an addition if it wasn't. And that teasing in bed? Grin-inducing. :D Kayo's breakdown at what she was missing out on was pretty damn emotional, getting me all misty eyed. That cliffhanger though...major confrontation incoming it seems...this won't be pretty.

He is the most obvious person. He really fits into murder outline which we saw in many scenes. And he acts the most suspicious from all characters.

And my God, did you see it, did you see Kayo's reaction when Satoru's mother wanted to pat her?

And that breakfast scene, I really tried to stop the tears...

After so many weeks of cliffhangers I really needed that episode, the breakfast scene was so heartwarming and I couldn't help punching my fist into the air at the ending when Satoru and Sachiko stepped forwards to confront Kayo's mother - what an incredible mother Sachiko is.

The Fuck? Hiromi is one of the 3 kid that being kidnapped? I just realized that.

Ain't Sataoru too focus on Kayo? How about Hiromi?
Is he thinking that the 'first' kidnap Kayo won't happen and then the 2nd and 3rd will not happen also? Is that why he is not worry about Hiromi?

That teacher... "No, I have a feeling Kayo is safe. In fact, I know she is."
That is sooo fishy. Maybe, though, he is just an accomplice. Who did he call? The actual murderer? Did he obtain the intel that way?
Or he knew because Satoru's mum contacted him beforehand as she had a clue what was going on.

That was so beautiful. Why can't Kayo just live with Satoru and Sachiko :(
The breakfast crying scene was so sad. I feel so bad for her never experiencing this warmth in her life. Was so happy and sad for her at the same time :*)

Sachiko is amazing as usual, Already bought pjs XD And her "Am I in the way" sleeping between them was lol
But yeah Satoru, there's no denying it he's a full blown lolicon right now even getting aroused by her post bath wet body XD

Hope everything with her bitch ass mom gets solved nxt. And Yashiro...I just can't decide on him. Who would've thought the bus was actually the killer's hideout tho O_o

If it ends up being the teacher (very probable)... that fucking guy is something else. A real piece of shit who appears very calm, friendly and helpful. Surely there HAS to be a moment in the show where he openly admits things and shows who he is. Very "typical" thing to happen in a story, but I want it with this guy because he makes me nauseous with his creepiness. Yes, creepiness. If it is the teacher, he is a creepy culprit, because of how he's acting.

I teared up when Kayo cried :'(
We all know the teacher is the culprit, which makes things worse that the mother called him first.

One thing bothers me in this show - protagonist puts so much effort into saving Kayo, but the other victim is right there near him and he is like "meh who cares" lol

The only way to stop this is to catch the killer, I got that at the start of the show, why can't the protagonist.

i almost shed tears when that breakfast scene came. This is probably what we need after such a long and intense few episode, not to mention the cliffhanger. But i feel like next episode gonna be chaos or something along that.

will this cover the murderer's motive or the original source doesnt have it (yet)? since recently they announce novel about the murderer's motive. I also curious about where's the difference between original, first revival, and the second revival, in terms of killing method, or just the timing that is different.

4 wks to go and i'm still keeping myself not to read the manga, atleast until the anime ends, although i'm kinda spoiled a bit by the live action trailer.

The scene where Hinazuki thought how she usually has her breakfast compared to her meal at Satoru's place really made me tear up. Brilliantly done. Also loved how they managed to put in some awkward youth/comedy moments in there.
Only thing i felt meh to was her mum's return.. it felt like she disappeared from the show a little too long. I guess next ep will be cool with that Showdown-esque ending.
Can't wait.

THIS
EPISODE
WAS
BEAUTIFUL.

Seriously. this anime is probably the best I have ever seen. The pacing, the characters, the design, the storyline, the soundtrack- amazing.
KAYO IS PRECIOUS AND NEEDS TO BE PROTECTED

I have a theory that Sachiko can time-travel... I mean, how come she knows almost everything? There is no way she would know Kayo was coming, unless she can time-travel or smth...

The ending tho ;w; Breakfast scene is the first anime scene that almost made me cry so fast. I have been on verge of tears with Death Note, Black Butler, Psycho-Pass, but no anime ever has brought me SO CLOSE.
And that is something considering that I almost never cry.

AND FINALLY NO CLIFFHANGERS TO KILL ME :D
