| Tales of the Abyss is pretty interesting. I have my own set of gripes with it and every other JRPG out there, but it's just the kind of stuff that's really typical for the genre and most people don't care. It has action combat though, so that's cool. The only thing that isn't voiced is the skits, which are kind of important and often really charming, but they're not really required for the story or anything. Just adds context. Main character is a dick to begin with, but he grows a lot. Probably some of the most noticeable development in a character I've seen in recent memory.  Etrian Odyssey IV is pretty good so far, but there's no voice acting in it. However, the newest iterations are apparently remakes of the first three games? I don't know that much about it, but it seems like they're remaking the games with a story mode, since it never really had one before. The reason I brought up EOIV though is because it has the same gameplay style as Persona Q. Q is basically the Etrian Odyssey style dungeon crawler where you draw your own maps of the Persona series. The downside is that it doesn't have any social links, but it has the full cast from Persona 3 and 4, so if you like them, you're going to have a pretty good ride with lots of fanservice and inside jokes to the series. It's also voiced, except for some mini scenes.  Both of those are pretty long and solid JRPGs. If neither of those tickle your fancy, lemme know, and I'll try to come up with some other recommendations. |
| I have a N3DS, and I love JRPGs as well. Try playing Bravely Default for starters. Fire Emblem: Awakening, Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, Paper Mario: Sticker Star, Etryan Odyssei, Devil Survivor 1 & 2, Story of Seasons, Harvest Moon...there's prolly more, but this is what came to mind on the spot. Have fun playing them. |

| I second Fire Emblem: Awakening. I also personally had a lot of fun with Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars. |
| Stella Glow Slow and cliched start, but it gets increasingly great as the story progresses. |
