As I don't have any access to the visual novel since my computer is running windows 7 64bit version, well I actually don't want to buy a visual novel that might not work on it, I was wondering which did follow more the VN,

And if there was maybe another way to just read or watch VN without the program.

^ Just to say, but Umineko VN works on windows 7 64bit, it worked perfectly fine for me. If you can't buy it, then download it.

If you don't mind the wait for new chapters I say go with the Manga since it's the closest you get to the VN counterpart

The visual novels work fine on Win7 64-bit with Applocale.

Just like moldy_tomato said, I have 64-bit windows 7 and it works perfectly with Applocale :)

I recommend reading "Umineko Episode X" which is a cross-over parody with higurashi, get it/read it here: http://mangahelpers.com/s/wtdnd-group

Sound novel >>>>>>> manga >>>>>>> hearing someone talk about Umineko >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> anime.

Episode X is fun in an overblown, cheesy way.

It has the same effect for the programs
but with Applocale you can use any program with any locale you want without the need to restart the computer.

It might also be helpful to know that to install programs through Applocale in WinVista/7 (if UAC is on) you need to run the installer as an Administrator.

And to install Applocale itself, you need to somehow use the .msi file as an Administrator. (for example through cmd.exe or a .bat file)

I'm rather late with this, but just in case you're still wondering about reading the VN, someones' after uploading all of the first three arcs on to Youtube, and I believe they're working on the fourth. They shouldn't be that hard to find, so you should probably read them before they get taken down.

I only watched the anime for the fight scenes. They left out a bunch of stuff and it still felt like the story was rushed. I have yet to read the manga though.

What, you really think so? I have to say that Turn has my favourite art style. I love how overly dramatic, and over the top it is. Those sharp lines, leering faces, and smoke drenched panels~ very reminiscent of xxxHOLiC's art.

Most of them look like deformed demons. Proportions are off much more than in clamp works and the expressions ugh dear god. At least in XXXHOLiC you could tell most of them are humans. Sure you got long limbs but expressions and overall look of the art was clean. For example Sharon. Everytime she smiled in the EP 2 manga I felt like I wanted to smash half her head off like in episode 1 just so I wouldn't see it anymore >_>
