| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Title: SEA OF FERTILITY Another old classic theme: the analogy of space as a "sea". Even though it's not really true, it's a popular theme back in the 80s. A woman looking into the accidental death of her younger brother, who was pessimistic about the existence of life in the universe. At the same time, we get to see the psychological symptoms of "space solitude". But surprisingly, she finally understood what her brother's last words meant.... that he found fossilized fish in a meteor fragments on the Moon just before he died. Talk about foreshadowing... I can see this "meteor" thing coming back in the later chapters already.... But guess what, water has been recently found on the Moon (in real life), so it makes the possibilities of a moonbase more feasible. Who knows, I'm interested in working as an engineer in the the space agency anyway... whose headquarters is located just 15 minutes from my house lol. |
