| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Shimizu in a ponytail...dang, she looks good. Pretty fun episode with a decent amount of action from Hinata's team. What I liked is how all the guys are keeping their cool. Cute seeing the younger people cheering for them too. Lol, Hinata's face was just priceless this episode. The height comparison stuff was also pretty funny. Haikyu volleyball logic :p  |

| Not just main guy is not feeling well from nervousness this time. lol @ before the competition. It seems like the team improved with going to the practice camps (not just developing the special skills). His opponent is full of yakuza but no motivation. One of the members got motivated by the main guy and his senpai, who is not yakuza. Ex-coach talking about seniors' feelings changed. The yakuza team lost to main team trying their best this time. The main team's next opponent has a very tall member. lol @ the height talk. Trying to go past that tall guy next. |

| Just love how much they hyped Karasuno before the tournament. The match was awesome. Karasuno totally REKT those guys. It's to be expected after getting used to high level plays from the camp. Lol'd so much at the PikachuTekachu 40 cm thing XD Hinata's face when he said "I want to gattai with a shark" was priceless lol Kiyoko's "Tanaka looks good with a banana" O_o Can't wait to see how Karasuno are gonna Destroy these guys. |

| Tanaka is gonna make me die from laughter some day. His monk thing was hilarious and I hope he does it more in the future. Kiyoko thinks he looks good with a banana? Maybe she's starting to like him more haha. It was great to see that the hard work from the training camp paid off. Even though Karasuno got their asses handed to them repeatedly during the camp, they now looked flawless on the court. Can't wait to see how they plan to beat that giant. |

| Ahhh, a pretty great episode. I love how Kageyama is just kind of like, "You aren't scared are you?" He almost sounds incredulous. Hinata was pretty impressive this episode as well, always loved those intense faces that he makes sometimes in this. It actually kind of makes me want to go out and play volleyball. |

| Well that was a good first match for Karasuno. Hinata's serious face means business. Love how everyone in Karasuno has improved and are able to demonstrate their new skills. Cool to see that OhgiMinami can get some of the spotlight as well. Great to see that the opposing time can get some focus even if they are going to lose. Time to listen to all the chants for the teams in upcoming episodes. The next team seems like they are going to be a challenge. |

| Lol that little row Tanaka had with the OhgiMinami guys was funny! And that kill :) That Akki guy is too cute :) he looks like the kind of guy who'd be a good friend irl! So positive and optimistic. Almost made me tear up when he was crying. And I love how he gave them that little pep talk; I mean, I know they weren't gonna win, but I kinda wanted them too.. when they realized not to give up, until the end. I teared up when the team thanked him afterwards :$ This show is just too awesome & heartwarming. |
| It bothers me that I have no doubt whatsoever that Karasuno is going to beat this new giant kid. I'm tired of tall people being the mountain the shrimpy mc(s) climb over. Where is my gigantic sport MC realistically stomping all over the hopes and dreams of the vertically challenged? |

| Tanaka was funny at the beginning lol! what's new though The other team was just prolonging the inevitable. I do feel bad for them though. But I'm happy Karasuno is doing great, I'm looking forward to next week's match against the tall guy although I'm convinced they're not gonna lose. Gotta love Kageyama's confidence at the end while Hinata was lamenting. 4/5, the new OST is awesome. |

Well it's exciting to put that shrimp up against a 200 cm (6'7) 15 year old kid. People like underdog stories hell you even find it in the Bible. I liked the way they handled the previous tall guy from season one Takanobu Aone and what Coach Ukai said about him: "He's not just tall. His arms are long, and his shoulders are broad. Those are all powerful weapons, but that's not all. He stays calm and avoids tunnel vision. He has the will to block no matter what." Murasakibara no Basket would've been a better story |

| This episode perfectly captures one of the reasons why I absolutely love this series. It doesn't just focus on the Karasuno players but we also get insight into the personal circumstances and thought processes of the opponents. That added level of character development makes us see the players as human with their own aspirations rather than just simply antagonistic characters. |

Exactly, I'm utterly astounded by the realistic approach. Old man Ukai's words further provided authentic insight on players emotions before/during match and how it impacts your game, also speaking about height being a weapon in of itself. This episode is absolutely my favourite so far, I had to watch it twice. The flashback with Ougiminami Highs' old captain brought out the feels, and Towada's quick development was fantastic. Especially confirming in the end that he underestimated Hinata. Going to be hell waiting for the new episode. |

| The Tanaka scenes were kinda funnier in the manga where it was about him looking like a monk^^ But it was a cool episode. I had the same reaction that I had when I read the manga: First I wanted Karasuno to just crush their opponent, after seeing the back story of the opponents I cheered a little for them. |
| Nice that tournament finally started :P But what makes me feel kinda sad is that Only few teams from ONE perfecture can get to the national-level.. And so all the other guys from average teams who play volleyball are just like..don't know:l |
| Great episode like always,finally the tournament start and wow this first match was really good and intense,the animation is great and we got some flashback from the counter team,feels were there if this season continue like that its gonna be a 10/10 for me One of the best anime of the season easily! |

| ...and the games beging and the show is now awesome again. Still have to say though, not feeling the focus on the opponent when we're most likely never gonna see them again. Next match looks great. |

| I always loved Haikyuu for their focus on unimportant teams and giving them characterization. That was awesome, best thing of the episode. Karasuno being great was expected. What the fuck ''Tanaka looks good with a banana'' o.O |
