Episodes 95-102 i believe is filler, the only real manga content that was placed in the filler was the part where ace gave luffy the note and then the fl ashback with vivi. Episode 103 i believe it returns to the manga story though. |

| Another filler, some more crying kids and Ace leaves the Straw Hats. Sad about the latter, could not care less about the former two. Not overly impressed, to be honest. |

| Yea this was filler but you needed to watch it because it shows Ace leaving :( It seems that in the manga Ace never joined them on their Journey through the desert. In fact, the first time he meets Luffy and crew he gives Luffy the paper and leaves right after. Knowing this I'm really glad the anime had Ace travel with them since we got to see more of this awesome character :) |

| If Ace really hadn't been with them until now in the manga, I must say that's a great decision to make. It was a bit odd to send him off in such a filler moment but given that they made him go on the journey with them I don't know how it could have been built in otherwise. At least it was unpredictable as one of the problems OP has is it's predictable nature... and I found Scorpion lying to get Ace to come to Alabasta to be quite an interesting twist as well, I just wish they did it slightly differently. And the tale of Scorpion, Chip, and Dip was pretty cute. Luffy and Scorpion getting along gave me a chuckle. See you (soon?) Ace! Filler this arc has been pretty good. Some have been mediocre like the first we got or this, but I really enjoyed Barbossa and Camu! Maybe a mixed bag but at worst it's been watchable and best really enjoyable. |

| Scorpion seemed like a filler character and he pretty much was one but he turned out to be Ace's only lead towards Blackbeard regarding his whereabouts in Alabasta. He's not there but Ace got another lead way out in the West now. |

| Sometimes I think I don't need to write a review as all of the episodes are great. This one's too. This whole series is full of comedy and sentiments. Ace left. Hope they will meet again. He was cool. But he and Luffy has a lot in common. Still Luffy is the best |
| I knew Scorpion sounded familiar, then it dawned on me.. it's the same seiyuu as Arlong, Kosugi Juurouta. It's kind of funny hearing him act as such a bumbling character after his performance as Arlong, but he did a great job. |
| Insanely I love the storytelling of this anime. In the shortest possible time, creates a new character, takes the viewer with them, and wonderfully tells the story. Masterpiece. 100/100 |
| There was no way I was going to believe a goofy-looking dude like him would beat a notorious pirate who hasn't even been fully shown yet and is being chased by none other than Firefist Ace. Of course, it had to be a lie. Still was kinda surprised to learn that he was Dip and Chip's dad. I felt bad for him. He was just trying to be a good father all along. Also, I would like to know more about the Badlands. Oh man, we are parting ways with Ace. Even though he didn't have many big moments in the span of these few episodes, he became one of my favourite characters. I wonder what that piece of paper had and what he meant by that paper bringing him and Luffy together again sometime. I feel like it is foreshadowing for something big that'll happen in the future. |
