As it is right now, both short films and feature length films are marked as "Movie". I really think that movies shorter than 40 minutes (since that seems to be the most common distinction between the two) short be called "Short Film" or "Short" instead of "Movie".

It just feels weird having Shizuku (which I just finished and added to my list) lumped together with all the Ghibli and Kon movies and so forth. :P

Yeah, I think this would be nice. Like manga has one-shots...

It's redundant when the runtime length is already listed. If anything it would be better if there were search options where you can search for series by episode length min and max episodes and movies by runtime min and max minutes/hours

I wouldn't mind the differentiation. Calling short films "movies" does feel a bit odd.

Sure, you can see that when viewing the movie's specific page, but when viewing someones anime list, they are all sorted as "Movie". That makes it unnecessarily hard to find new feature length films to watch when viewing other people's lists, having to check every movie you don't know about to see wheter it's one and a half hour long or five minutes.

well, If I watched Titanic, or Schindler's list, which has longer airtime than usual 130mins, it must be considered as long films.

Movies are movies.

Oneshots are mangas that doesnt have any chapters, which considered as 0-chaptered-mangas.

All films that has no episode and aired in movie theatres are considered movies!!

I can't find anything official about movies longer than 130 minutes needing to be categorized differently from other feature length films.

However short films, or shorts, is something that gets treated very differently from feature length stuff in terms of marketing, awards, producing and public recognition.

There is an official definition that movies shorter than 40 minutes are short films. They do indeed get different awards and are somewhat classified as different things.

we need a filter for standalone ovas too. I know this was suggested before but noone didn't really care.

Yeah, I'm agree with this

Also the like one said above, under 40 minutes in length already considered as short and I supposed it applied internationally, followed the standardization popular in north america and UK.

I noticed that Specials have been divided into TV Specials, Specials, CM and what not. If this is possible, I want to once again suggest that films and short films get the same type of treatment.
