| I'd like to try some recent or currently running anime with a decent story and no fanservice. I'm getting sick of finding it in nearly every new thing I try to watch lately. (Last week on Vivid I saw a little girl get groped by a nun in a hot spring. Seriously!) I know I'm not the intended demographic for this type of thing and I don't seek it out, but lately I can't seem to get away from it. So any recs with no panty shots, huge breasts, perverts, groping, women walking around in their underwear or half-naked people falling on top of one another? I know these still exist! Yona of the Dawn, Sailor Moon Crystal, Natsume's Book of Friends and Ronja the Robber's Daughter are good examples of great shows that I love. |

| Aria Arakawa Under the Bridge FLCL is short and no fanservice but it's hard to love xD R.O.D. if you like books and fantasy xxxHolic and other CLAMP anime does not rely on fanservice Some old classics which I notice you have not seen as well e.g. Cowboy Bebop, Haibane Renmei, Lain If you want to try some upsetting theme then Garden of Sinners and Shiki are really good, with non existent amount of shots you mentioned. |

| Bodacious Space Pirates, in spite of the name and in spite of the massive cast of high school girls, contains little (if any) fanservice. Overall very tasteful. Unfortunately Cowboy Bebop, though excellent, does contain some fanservice (mostly of Faye). Maybe hold off on it until you feel it wouldn't bother you so much. |
