| I just finished it myself and thought it was pretty good but I constantly see it get so many 10's and a lot of praise, it's so popular that Ive seen at least 5 people wearing survey corps t-shirts at the mall today, even walmart has fuckin AOT posters! I mean holy shit, was it that good for some? I mean im not trying to hate or anything since the show was awesome, but my god... |

| Intense, dark, action-packed, epic... Giant titans destroying mankind. Great production values and music. Not really something that has done in anime before so that's why it gets so much hype. It also helped pull a lot of anime newbies into the anime franchise. |

| Its overhated because its popular. Its neither as good nor as bad as its fans and haters respectively make it out to be but it was still solid and the 3DMG fights felt pretty unique. |

All these series got their time when they got a lot of Praise by people. Also dis you check the top anime ranking here on mal? All the series you've listed are rank higher than snk. You may not believe this, but snk get a lot of hate around the net. Snk is getting a lot of praise because its the new hot series ATM. When it ends a lot of series will take over. The reason those series are not being talk about that much its because they've ended a long time ago. Duh! Hxh got a lot of praise last year, you probably haven't heard because its not as popular as fmab. Fmab is rank #1 on mal. Hxh 2011 is rank #5. Snk is rank #41. Snk isn't universally liked. |

If everyone would look at it this way, we wouldn't have to go through these repetitive threads. |

| Maybe you base your impressions on what is happening in your country, it seems it is being advertised quite heavily. But on this site, it barely gets praise. Imo, of course it deserves it. |

| I'm not familiar with what praise it gets, but I find the series to be interesting and quite original. It certainly has a mood about it that is unlike more other series. (My opinion might change somewhat depending on how the series ends of course.) |

Anything that's super-popular is most likely hugely overhyped and overrated, but at the same time did something right and therefore not as bad as the haters say it is And it's all a matter of preference. For example, I cannot get myself to see anything other than an emotional SoL as "a piece of art" therefore I will never say an action-heavy show like this deserves all it's praise. At the same time, someone with different taste would just call me a SoL fag and say that SnK is a masterpiece and cannot comprehend how I do not believe a work of fiction which works away from real life could not be a piece of art At the end of the day, everything is subjective. |

Add to this that fans tend to ignore flaws in works that they really like, and you can see where this sentiment comes from. Btw, I don't really consider Attack on Titan to be super-popular, at least not in North America. |
