| Which do you prefer/recommend? I already watched the first 10 episodes of Kill la Kill and already really enjoyed it, but I didn't really enjoy the first 2 episodes of Gurren Lagann all that much. Should I keep watching Gurren Lagann, does it get better? |

| Mate, absolutely! Trust me, you should. The last few episodes are some of the best I've seen in an Anime. And to top it all off, it had a great ending too! |

| It's absolutely NOT overrated. I put off watching Gurren Lagann for months before I finally dove in, and I didn't regret it, and you won't either. Seeing as how we have 77.8 compatibility, I'm sure you'll enjoy this series. The first 2 episodes are just the very tip of the massive iceberg that has yet to reveal itself. Right now it's all set up and build to something much bigger. The fights, friendship and plot are all very well done. Right now it's not so serious, epic or has that much direction but trust me, it really becomes something special. Ya, I'm biased because it's one of my all-time favorites, but there's also a reason so many will say similar great things about it. Just like Harry said above, it has one of the most satisfying endings I've seen. |

| Gurren Lagann is kinda slow at the start but after a few episodes it gets epic. It's up on the list of my favourite anime, I am sure you will love it as much as I do when you finish the show :) |

| Like the OP im wondering if i should continue watching this, I have seen the first 2 episodes and think its as terrible as anything ive seen (not as bad as one piece) guess what i want to know is when is it gonna start picking up because if its not going to start getting interesting until like episode 8 or more im gonna drop it, i am not that patient, also is it going to continue to have over the top "humor" driven battles or will they become more serious cause if it continues to be "humor" driven battles i will drop it cause i prefer more seriousness when it comes to battle scene's (i started watching it because people said it has a decent amount of romance) |

| Ok so i ended up finishing it and found it far more enjoyable than i thought i would at the start, and unfortunately just as a certain someone died is when i had just started to warm up to him lol. Found it much better after the time skip but overall quite good |

| I managed to go through 10 episodes before dropping this. There are WAYYYYYYYYYYY too many overused tropes and clichés in this (>_<)' And the super duper sad plot twist (that was used Idk how many times before) to make the MC grow from wimp pussy to super badass superman left me ice cold lol. Probably cause I hated that other char and I hate that NTR shit when the chick friendzones the MC and goes towards that other jerk. Anyway. The fact that some episodes had some awful animation and the overall design of characters/their personality/mechas etc didn't help either. I guess it IS a good anime for anime newcomers though. When you do have seen hundreds of anime and see every freaking trope and clichéd dialogue that makes you cringe I guess not so much. |

| So far I'm finding it above average but it hasn't quite given me that 10/10 "wow" factor that Madoka Magica and Steins;Gate gave me. Then again I have only just finished episode 2 lol. Also I am really enjoying Kill la Kill and in my opinion the first 2 episodes were better than the first 2 of TTGL. |
