I recently finished Sword Art season 2 and I need something new to watch and i am having a hard time finding anything. Some of my recent-ish favorite Anime follow:

Little Busters(and refrain)
Sword Art 1 and 2
Shangri-la
Fate/zero

So yea I need some help. Something that airs more on the serious emotional side of things, more mature than goofy silly etc.

Why not go with Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works? I really liked it, and can't wait for season 2 this april! :)

Hey guys. I'm watching school days but I already know how it ends lol and I keep laughing while watching the anime. Do you guys know of any anime that are just plain wierd or they made you go wth? I'm kinda falling out of love with anime, and I've been on a long break for about a month now and I'm hoping something might re spark my interest again.

Sorry for posting here, I didn't feel like making a new thread.

I'm honestly in the same boat. I think I saturated myself with mediocre anime and just got tired of it. That being said, I may be able to help you.

First off, purge that ptw of yours. unless you personally are passionate about the anime, get rid of it.

As for the request (I had a little trouble because anime on your ptw are excluded from the shared lists)...

If you don't mind gore, a really great anime that keeps you guessing is Higurashi no Naku Koro ni

If you want to actually go insane and don't mind old anime, try Serial Experiments Lain

And if you want something a little more based in reality, strong characters, and interesting story, try Higashi no Eden (and the two subsequent movies).

Do I really need to purge my ptw? I like to give certain anime a try even if it's something that doesn't look interesting at first. And thanks for the recommendations, I'm definitely going to check them out after I finish School Days. About your comment about mediocre anime, I think you're absolutely right. I've mostly been watching one piece, Naruto, FT (lame), and Tokyo Ghoul, and while I love the first two, they don't give me the sense of excitement I'd get compared to my top 5 anime favourites.

You don't have to do anything, it was just a suggestion, seeing as how if you were to actually watch all of those anime, assuming you eat, sleep, and work/go to school, you could probably mark down the next 2-3 years for catching up on your ptw. It's simply not realistic...which is fine normally, but you said it yourself, you're falling out of love, on Valentines Day no less!
