This topic is part of our CSS Tutorials and Add-ons section: http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=419405 There are some times where you put a selector you find into the CSS edit box and it gets turned into gibberish or broken in some way, so that it no longer works. The reason for this is the MAL CSS edit box, after saving, purposely targets certain blacklisted selectors and changes them for w/e reasons. There are two ways to overcome this- (1) import the codes so that blacklisted selectors bypasses MAL's CSS edit box rules or (2) try to "fix" the selectors so they can get by. I have some of the ways to fix selectors below. Selectors or parts of selectors that get broken are- #MAL_control_strip, div, tr, td, table, html, and >. Keep in mind that these selectors are always broken by themselves, but when they are immediately followed by a colon or other text it lets them get by, sometimes. Selector that will be broken is in red, the way to get it by (fixed) is in green #MAL_control_strip Put a backslash before each underscore _ html backslash after the t div backslash after di tr put the word div in between the t and r, and have a space on each side of div td put the word div in between the t and d, and have a space on each side of div table backslash after tab If you know any other methods to fix broken selectors, please let me know here! |
