It is doing just fine. The total weekly sales from all its volumes are still good. It sold 265,515 units this week. Oricon counts up to rank 500, so as long as it charts in the Top 50 later on or the 2014 Yearly Rankings, the additional sales should be reflected.

Both cases are the second highest reported sales for the series. Log Horizon will probably overtake volume 7 with next week's rankings.

Could I ask for the link of the full Oricon LN & manga rankings this week (as in, up to rank 500)? There's a series that I wanna check how much it sold. I'll manage even if the link's in Japanese. :)

Ao Haru Ride:
Volume 10: 235,903(3 days), 419,435 (10 days), 540,575 (31 days)
Volume 11: 440,604 (7 days) 543, 534 (14 days) 595, 811 (21 days) 631,986 (28 days) 657,457 (35 days)

About 116~125k boost so far in volume 11 depending on how much the limited edition sold. And its still ranking well in the dailies on shosekiranking. It might make it next week as well, you never know

Barakamon:
Volume 8: 131, 657 (9 days) 153, 704 (16 days)
Volume 9: 160,328 (9 days) 189, 258 (16 days) 208, 875 (23 days)
Volume 10:, 227,254 (7 days)

Volume 10 has already beaten the total volume 9 accumulated in 23 days in just 7 days. Great boost here as well.

Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii:
Volume 6: 31,700(7 days)
Volume 7: 52,955 (10 days)
Volume 8: 38,021 (3 days) 65,975 (10 days)

Steady increase in sales for volume 8.

So basically this is good considering previous sales for the novels.
Still not that great compared to other series. Actually not sure, I don't know much about LN sales.

From 3 days of sales, Log Horizon's 15454 sales puts it as the 152nd bestselling release of the year to date out of what I include on my spreadsheets. It should be able to get a second week in, which would likely leave it just outside the top 100.

To put you in perspective, there are 74 new light novel releases coming out this week alone. Admittedly this is rather higher than a usual week, but on the other hand that's just the stuff on amazon's list of light novels, which excludes many things that would be included on these lists, and on my spreadsheet - including, incidentally, log horizon volume 8 (which is particularly bizarre given that they count volume 1 as a light novel but whatever...)

It's comfortably within the top 10% of sellers.

Chaika is rather more disappointing. Especially considering last week's sales figure, I was really thinking it was a given that it would pass 10k (thus getting on my spreadsheet) and beat volume 2 to become the bestselling volume of the series. Log Horizon's previous bestseller came out in December and thus was already experiencing the anime sales boost, whereas Chaika's peak came out well before the anime was even being thought about, and it seems the anime series hasn't been effective enough to push it above that level.
