Something like half the characters in this manga are a reference to someone from mainstream Type-Moon titles. Sometimes it's just a name and maybe some small detail that shows it is not a coincidence and sometimes it's almost a total copy-paste. I wouldn't be too surprised if all of the characters were like that and I just can't get the reference (especially since some of them can be lost in translation if the translator did not figured out what they were about). I can't say I am fully comfortable with it. Sometimes it is funny but most of the time it comes out as a cheap jokes about stories and characters that are many levels above this manga... Maybe it's just me but when someone is making low-level joke with a character I really like it ruins all the fun for me. It's a bit of a pity since this manga has some decent humor that is in no way related to parodying other titles. |
