| A bit dull for forcing the opposite of the expected twist. Instead of obviously killing the piece of shit drunk father who beats his daughter and grandson, the mother was about to kill herself as the third candidate until he stops himself. Otherwise, this was a 7/10, but forcing that twist turns it into an arguable 5-6. Although the reveal that three doted marks on the back shoulders means revival is awesome, including that Asuka was most likely revived as well in the past. So, all around, this arc of the manga, 6/10, I think. The mother crying for her son was great though. I almost had tears falling out they were so emotional. Powerful. Awesome story for the most part. I also just realized from the comment above that her father was a killer just like her due to killing three people to revive her. Wow. Damn, on second though this chapter may deserve a 7-8/10, even if I hate the sudden twist that's he's kind when he seemed so shitty at first. I'll give this 7/10. If he was better protrayed as not so shitty, I guess it'd be worth an 8/10. |
