| The schools I studied in don't have a swimming pool. Or an indoor basketball gym but there are outdoor basketball courts. I guess only the wealthier schools have those. I think it's cos in my country, sports are seen as only hobbies and not as career choices. And wow, a person from Japan actually answered. That's really cool.. |

| The only educational institute in Swansea with a pool that I know of is the University. But by god it's a quality pool..... It's used to train Team GB olympic swimmers. Can't speak for Japan but I would guess no. Pools in anime are usually only there for cheap shots of cartoon chicks in bikini's. |

| Wow, now that I think about it, most anime that I've watched that takes place in a Japanese highschool setting had swimming pools in their campus... I'm going to bet that it's actually common, not that it's really surprising to me. |

| None of the high schools in my district had pools either. The only schools that had it were those for filthy rich kids...you know people who actually have a pool at home. What I want to know is, do students really go to the school rooftops in Japan. I just don't see the point of having one :/ |

| Never had a pool in any school I ever attended. My high school barely had enough rooms and desks for everyone and some of the classrooms were in double wide trailers outside the actual school. |
| As a kid I went to a Japanese elementary school for a day. The school had a huge swimming pool, pool toys (noodles, floats, etc), and a walk-through shower. It was awesome. |
| The school I used to go when I was in my 2nd grade had a pool but I don't think that every school in that city had one as well. Later I got transferred to another city and my new school didn't even have a playground of it's own. |
