How to find and identify the type of cover import in your CSS

Find what kind of cover CSS your list has

See if your animelist layout (CSS) has any of these types of imports:

If you are using any these, your animelist uses "More" CSS

This is now pretty easy since I've updated the topics on cover imports. Go to this directory and look at the GIFs under Cover Styles:

Find which one matches the cover style you see on your list or seems to match it closest. Make sure you look at them all. When you find it- go to the topic linked by the pic (or click the pic). At the top of the topic, in a quote box, I've put the type of CSS the cover style uses. This is the type of CSS you'll need to generate when the generator asks you in one of the later steps. It will usually be either #more, animetitle, or animetitle:before.


If you never saw your covers, and still can't determine what kind of cover style your list uses from the visual examples in each topic, then assume your list layout uses #more CSS. When the generator asks what kind of CSS to generate, try "#more", and if that doesn't work, try "animetitle". If that still doesn't work, try "animetitle:before". Those three types cover 99% of the layouts out there. If none of those work, you may be using the tutorial incorrectly or your layout has a problem preventing you from seeing covers- I'd suggest reinstalling the layout/topic or trying a new one.

These days you don't need to do this very often, but in case you need to find it, Its at the top of your CSS edit box. All imports MUST be at the top for them to work. Find your imports, and copy the link within the parenthesis or quotations, then paste that into an address bar and see where it brings you. If they bring you to a CSS like this:

It is probably a cover import. The numbers and text don't have to be the same. It just has to look similar to that, a wall of CSS looking nearly similar every line. These files can be VERY long too.

If the CSS an import takes you to looks dramatically different, its probably not a cover import.

Imports that say things like "topbar" in the link aren't cover imports. Imports that say "CSScover" or "anime" in them probably. The public imports for anime covers in this group are google drive links. They Some import links are broken and will bring you to a dead page, so its not a 100% certain way to determine if these dead links are covers or not.

Keep in mind you always want only ONE cover import in your CSS at a time.
