(I'm well aware of the chance of a thread like this existing)
We've all experienced that empty feeling a feeling that can be described as confusion or the emotion of being lost. After finishing a good series be it anime, books or in my case a visual novel you get this emptiness, anyways my question being how does one normally cope with this, sometimes it blows over after day and you just forget about it, and sometimes it drags on until you find something that makes you relax.

Rest for a few hours then watch another anime. That way you'll get engrossed to another anime.

To fill up the void left by the show you just watched,
I go and look something similar to it to satisfy myself.

Emptiness? I feel overflowing after such experience, like my mind is on overdrive trying to comprehend what it all meant, and if it was really good, it comes a part of me. I do not feel empty, not by a long shot. I feel overjoyed by having the good fortune to stumble upon such grandeur, and I do not intend to let a single drop of satisfaction and fulfilment escape me.

You feel empty when you're chasing that feeling again and you can't find it. We are talking about drugs, right?

My all time favorite is one piece so no issue there...

But with other things i usually sit and think about it for a while, fully connect all the dots. Then admire how good it was. Then search for S2, or novels or manga. I very rarely rewatch anything at all, though i'm close to watching durarara again at a slower pace. It's not that complicated at all, but i figure i'll enjoy it just as much on the second time around, knowing certain things.

Other than that, find something else to watch, i usually have about 728 different series i want to see anyways.

How do you cope with it??? You don't. You can't. You sit there wondering your meaning in life. When a few days have passed you search for another one and when you finish it, repeat.

When I finish anime that I really liked, I'm like:
"That was satisfying. *Grins* Let's find something similar."

and then you watch 3 completely shit shows and think "God, why can't I find another x" and cry yourself to sleep

Especially One Piece!! *nods nods* A rude awakening indeed! Waking up on Wednesday morning and noo manga to read! Poor souls.

And as for me..when I finish a good series....I rant and rave and curl up in a ball and roll around until I am satisfied. Then I go and hunt for another similar to it, so I can experience that again. :|

Easiest way is to just watch another anime. As you get immersed into a new world you'll gradually forget. Trust me, I felt the same way when I finished Sailor Moon all those years ago and felt empty as well.

Try watching something very similar to the anime you just finished, or perhaps a comedy anime to take your mind off it and have a good laugh. After all, laughter is the best medicine.

I usually watch it on YouTube, then realize its over, have a small heart attack, then buy the series.
