| like the 1st eps, its been awhile I try to watch horror show... love the chara design (but hate dat ugly blue nekomimi) 22 mins feels long, but very enjoyable not feel boring. But its kinda disturb me, because this show is very un-Noitamina like >_> |

| Wasn't planning on watching this until I read the manga a couple of weeks ago, and got hooked. Okay for the first episode. I was seriously expecting Haruka to sound like Eiko from "Ichiban..." for some reason, LOL. Only now does it click that her voice can get that high ala Yunyun from "Canaan". There is ONE scene that I am both not looking forward to AND looking forward to XD I'll probably skip it in the end, just because I am THAT much of a chicken XD I'm especially curious as to where they are going to end the anime =^.^= And yeah, Yuuki is a HUGE asshole>_> |

| Nice episode. I think the character design has its own unique compared to other anime presented up-to-date. I actually feel a bit irritated by Megumi but on the other hand quite like her a bit.@_@ I actually didn't saw her dead coming though.o-o Hope the animation producers don't create their own storyline to end the series( I haven't read the manga though but I think it might ruin the series if it create an original ending instead of following the manga ending.) Off topic: btw, does anyone know if the manga going to end already or still no sign of ending? |

| Fuyumi Ono sure knows how to write disgustingly annoying female characters. Yoko at the beginning was extremely annoying (though she became kickass). Mai from Ghost Hunt is head-bashingly annoying, persistently. And now Megumi. Since she's a main character, she's probably going to return... from the dead. or whatever. | Haters gonna hate on the best anime of the season. I actually like the character designs, but it seems many people do not. The designs stick close to the manga designs, and I like that. And what was slow paced about this episode? It is the first episode after all. It's better if it's slow than rushed in my opinion. I also noticed how many people are not going to watch this anime because the vampire part is a turn off. I gave it a shot and I really liked it. Plus the horror part stood out and I love my horror no matter what. Now I'm reading the manga and I hope I catch up before I leave. |

| I wasn't planning on watching this show but I wanted to see if this was good out of the few lineups this season. I'm still not sure though. This episode confused me in a lot of aspects, like the dates and the names of the characters just keep popping out. The main characters stand out so I remember them, they're hard to miss with those colorful hairs. Character design is kinda good though the dog is pretty ugly. Animation and sounds are excellent. I'm curious about the story since it sets up a lot of things here. Let's see what's gonna happen in the next episodes. |

| I am reading the manga but I still haven't decided if I like it or not. It's not bad for horror. The anime seems to be following the manga pretty well which is a good thing. |

| Wait, so this was based on a novel? That explains it. Novels take a good while to get started. When I read the first volume and it bored me to tears. Didn't bother with it after that. However, I have heard things about this story having some good revelations and mystery so I can at least give it the benefit of the doubt. A great mystery needs a great setting and settings need time to be built up. Besides there is feck all else to watch this season so I might as well stick this in the cart. I have no problems with the female character designs but the males.....seriously what the hell? Anyway I hope that the villains look much scarier in this than they did in the manga. Because the first villain I saw in the manga looked downright stupid. And Uzumaki was pretty good but still flawed. |

| I agree, Uzumaki wasn't perfect or anything. It's just the only horror manga that has ever scared the shit out of me. From a storytelling perspective it was OK, but from a horror perspective it has still yet to be topped, in my book. Why wouldn't I be serious about Seikimatsu? |
| imo, OP, pictures, composition, were kind of great. I liked Megumi. Her anxiety to City reminds me of my adolescence . . . many a man seems to have disliked her, but I think she is cute all the more because she is annoying. I mean, she is an Uza kawaii person. though Natsuno may well hate her. btw, Ono Fuyumi is really... awesome, I think Twelve Kingdoms, Ghost Hunt, and Shiki, they are quite different from each other Before After |

I liked the somewhat carefree attitude the episode had, but since they focused on Megumi we can't assume much since we don't know anything about the living villagers. | First half was derp. Second half was cool. Thank god they killed that annoying pink haired girl. God, she was annoying. I gotta feeling his isn't the last time we're gonna see her though... 4/5 Kinda looking forward to moar. |

| I think someone mentioned that the creator who wrote this also authored Ghost Hunt. That's what immediately came to mind by the end of the episode. I hoped that the show would be more like GH than Higurashi. Hopefully DEEN can pick up some new tricks and deliver the show in a way less predictable than what they've been doing recently. That said, this episode was kind of bad. I felt like it was introducing a lot of intriguing things, but did it in the worst way possible, leaving me disengaged. |

| Weird mood they set with the first episode. It went through a couple weeks, but nothing really happened. I know this is horrible, but I just kept waiting for the annoying Megumi to die. Yuuki has no personality at all, it's decided he can die next. I hope the story progresses next week and we don't just learn about another boring characters life before they get killed. |
