| Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro has the main antagonist of this show fits the description. Not a dark anime (at all) but both antagonist of Law of Ueki, fits the description. Level E it's a comedy but the MC fits most of those described. You watched all of the one I think completely fits the bill lol. |

| Narutaru and Tokyo Tribe are the only ones I can think of that you either haven't watched or hasn't been suggsted already. Just the cruelty in these titles are pretty disturbing. I can suggest some other plain gore anime, but that doesn't exactly seem to be what you're looking for.. |

| That calls for Kumagawa (Medaka Box) though the anime may disappoint you, because he only appears 1 and a bit episodes at the end of season two (and it's not exactly what you seek in terms of the overall setting :'D)..the manga is instead highly recommended |

| I see you like sci-fi, Mnemosyne does have a lot of if not everything you asked for, it is only 6 episodes long but they are 45 min long. If you liked Texhnolyze this is a good one, although they have different paces, I thought it was really cool the way Mnemosyne has diffferent amounts of time pass in between each episode & the mc's stay the same while their surroundings change I second Black Lagoon & Berserk |

| I can also add Petshop of Horrors - it's a pretty odd anime (OVA if I'm not mistaken) where a Chinese androgynous guy sells mystic pets which come alive and eat their purchasers if not treated correctly. If you like white haired characters, from my unique anime (comparing lists), I can suggest you some white haired ones which are really something (though I wouldn't call them crazy or anything special. They are, however, quite a pleasure to watch and observe): Main character in Canaan (female, but she's no wuss) Devil May Cry (main character) Sengoku Basara (Mitsuhide - he's absolutely crazy, but is not a main character) Zettai Karen Children (Hyoubu Kyousuke) |

| Kite (this is a hentai with an actual plot. Very sadistic. It actually has the same premises as phantom.) Shinrei Tantei Yakumo (the guy that is after him is pretty much all the things you are asking for.) Mermaid forest (the people of this anime act all nice but they have an alternative agenda. The are always attempting to kill and eat the flesh of the immortals thinking they themselves will become immortal) Umineko no Naku Koro ni (crazy) I agree with the recs Mnemosyne: Mnemosyne no Musume-tachi and Pet shop of horrors. |

| I was going to recommend Aoi Bungaku Series but you've already seen that. Blood-C (I haven't seen it myself but I've read summaries, apparently it's not that great but it does have quite a bit of gore in it). Yami Shibai (It's actually ongoing right now, only at it's first episode. But the first episode alone gives you chills. Keep in mind it's pretty simple horror though) Ghost Hunt Ghost Hound Shinrei Tantei Yakumo I can't think of anything else off the top of my head at the moment you've watched a lot of these kinds. But thanks to this thread I got some good recs too. XD I read that you prefer anime, but here's a manga that's pretty good; Aphorism. EDIT: I managed to think of more yey. |

| You'd probably like Gilgamesh, trust me as a fellow Ergo Proxy fan :p I'm totally into themes you described, and this anime blew me away. Even more so considering how ridiculously underrated it is on mal. My guess is, it's too depressing and disturbing for an average viewer. |

I'm a good bear, I'm perfectly huggable and lovable :D The game is really intense, possibly more intense than the anime. It's really up to you whether you want to watch the game play, but I'd reccomend either playing the game yourself if you own a PSP or watching the anime but DON'T READ THE SPOILERS. It's fun if you try to guess who the killer is every time and if you try to play detective along with the characters... As a cute bear, I personally enjoy the executions the most. Executions are my favorite hobby. |
