What I watch was Sengoku Basara

What I expected, was pretty much exactly how the anime "started"(it was awesome), but throughout the entire series.

Wars in Japan, weren't really wars by any definition anyone would ever make. You know how we have sporting events today, pretty much same deal, minus the spectators ofcourse. Such was a competition, nothing more, the prize was honor for you, your family, and your lord, along with the wealth that comes with all of that.

The written documents, and stories between opposing lords or whatnot are quite interesting. However evidently the anime takes place at the very end of the era, so all the interesting scenarios that one would expect, aren't there.

What I got, was just a meh action anime, with a simplistic, average dime a dozen story.

Needless to say, the series was a big letdown.
