Best fight?
| Pick your favorite fight in the series. For me it has to be Hisoka vs Kastro. The most brutal, badass, well thought out, scariest, strategic, most intelligent fight in any anime series. Honorable mention goes to Chrollo vs Zeno and Silva. inb4 Let the forum die. Whatever. |

| Kurapika vs Uvogin. Great setup and writing before they fought, and the battle scenes were simply amazing. Gon vs. Neferpitou was likeable to me too. And it seems I am the only one who doesn't like Netero vs Meruem THAT much :/ |

| Saying something that's pretty apparent about an anime (ie. HxH doesn't have as many as fights as other anime) is not praise, which you're claiming it to be. | Gon vs Neferpitou Meruem vs Netero Kurapika vs Uvogin These 3 fights were really intense and well-directed. Killua vs Jones wasn't really a fight lol, it was annihilation. Also, wheres Gotoh vs Hisoka. |
| This is pretty hard. I'm torn up between Gon vs Hisoka (tower of heaven), Kurapika vs Uvogin, and Meruem vs Netero. In terms of animation and actual fighting I would say Meruem vs Netero. But I think Kurapika vs Uvogin was overall the best fight in the series, there was a lot of tension between the two. They actually had a strong reason to want to kill each other, and it was the first time we saw an all out match between very strong Nen users. Not to mention, the outcome was a bit surprising. I didn't think Kurapika would overpower Uvogin like he did. Don't know why Pitou vs Gon is up there; that wasn't a fight it was a one sided massacre lol. |

| Netero vs Meruem My all time favourite fight. Excels in nearly everything I can think of. Glad to see that half of the fanbase agrees (according to the poll). I've generally enjoyed all the HxH fights as few as they were. Gon vs Hisoka, Gon vs Pitou, Kurapika vs Hisoka and Chrollo vs Zeno and Silva would make the rest of my Top 5. I don't consider the dodgeball game a fight otherwise it would've been up there for sure. Morel's strategic fights need a mention too of course. |

He just meant that usually in a poll like this, you would put all the known great fights in the show, having included the dodge ball, since it's not a standard fight, shows there are not a lot of great fights, so he needed to add one that isn't a normal fight. I think that was the logic behind that statement. |

Listed up top are a lot of fights that extend for a decent duration of time, whether or not they're good or not is mainly up to the viewer I suppose. | Not very good fights in the poll, Kurapika vs Hisoka, Gon vs Hanzo, etc all these short unsignificant ones that ended without a climax. Anyways the best was Gon vs Hisoka. |

And now that I actually look at the poll options, he should have mentioned Kurapika vs Hisoka instead, but I would guess he didn't notice that as well. I don't agree that it's proof as well. I think in HxH aside from CA arc, has pretty good fights, some or a lot of them are anti climactic, but it seems like a general style of writing that the author likes to use for whatever reason. I think you have a good point, in terms of the amount of fights, but I guess people say it doesn't focus on fights because it's fight are relatively shorter than other similar shows, which may or may not have something to do with the difference in pacing between said shows. And actually if I compare the first 138 episodes of Naruto with HxH, I think HxH probably has more fights, because those 138 episodes covered more content of HxH than Naruto ( 339 chapters adapted for HxH vs , 238 adapted for Naruto or the 127 canon episodes of Naruto vs that amount of HxH) which due to the pacing and padding difference. |

| I thought Netero X Meruem would be a great fight, but at this point I should know that my taste for fights is very different to most people.. Netero X Meruem has great background, is the most importante battle in the whole series, the action is great, pretty epic, great animation... but when it comes to combat, is nothing special... just pure generic DBZ fighting.. My favorite is probably Gon X Hisoka, but I love most of HxH fights, it's one of the 4 shonens that I put on a step above all others in combat quality of fights (the others being JoJo, Naruto and YYH) |
