Ah, a classic cooking contest this episode.

Of course Souma is the one who isn't afraid to show off his skills as a rebel against the Elite 10. Butter is an interesing theme to use for the food contest though as it definitely required some creativity.

that conversation between Kuga and Nene has no business going so fast with so many jump cuts for something that supposed to be a casual cool down moment. its like i was watching a conversation from Saiki Kusuo lol

If only Soma took out a rocket launcher at the end of his UBW battle

But this battle did remind me quite a bit of the early days

Hmm a butter professor lol. Nene and Koga's little talk sure was amusing. Its nice that we got to see Saito's childhood and backstory. His mother though sure suffered a harsh fate. Some traditions just have no place in the modern world. His determination to rise to the top to honor her sure was admirable. Though his dish was impressive and was backed by his strong desire to protect the weak Soma's dish that showcased the support from his friends and allies proved to be the dominant one here. And thats one more win for the resistance nice work indeed. With two wins in a row they really are on a roll.

It's not often that you hear Souma take a deep breath after a match.. He had to pull every last trick out of the bag to win! A true team effort. Unlimited blade works must be proud!

Great episode.

Loved how this episode showcased how Soma's learnt from everyone he's fought. Goes to show that you can and should learn from everything/everyone in life. :)

Mimasaka's become such a good guy.

I can't not get hyped whenever "The Secret Ingredient Called Victory" starts playing. Such an awesome soundtrack.

What a missed opportunity for a Fate/Zero Gilgamesh reference

I was literally waiting for that the entire time

Come on, even Keijo!!!!!!!!! managed to cram that reference in there. This would've been perfect. Not everything in Gilgamesh's arsenal is a sword either so it will still work.

Good episode but a missed opportunity.

Nice to see Soma channeling his inner unlimited blade works to take down Saito, with the added dosage of boxing gloves and a hunting rifle. XD

It was a nice way to end the third bout of the Team Shokugeki, as Soma used everything that he's learnt from his previous battles to take down the extremely talented Saito. His backstory with the his mother is what inspired him to protected the weak, but Soma was able to overcome his skills and show him what he's been missing out on all this time.

Mimasaka also deserves some praise, too. His image training also played a part in both Takumi and Soma's victories, which shows even further at just how much Mimasaka has improved as a person as well as a chef. =)

The soundtrack used for this episode was excellent, helping to hype up the conclusion of Saito and Soma's battle really well. With this in mind, I'm already hyped up for the 4th bout now. =D

Souma takes another victory for the rebels, Souma stood out in this battle against Saitou, he used all the culinary techniques and shokugekis since he entered Totsuki and the result was this incredible dish and with this his victory.

I must be honest and it gave me a shudder to see Mimasaka practicing with Takumi, Souma and Megumi, especially when he imitated Momo and said "Megumyan", that was so creepy.

Anne's foodgasm will always be delicious ... damn she is so cute, but they always lewd her (I don't complain, I really enjoy it)

It was so satisfying to hear Saitou say "you defeated me", Souma took victory with the three votes of the bookmans, the exhausted Souma using his famous phrase was the best closing of the episode, a victory with a lot of effort.

Soma's friends suck - they never have confidence in him and his meals. Doubting and in awe of the opposition yet Soma always supports them (Megumi) till the bitter end.

Saito's past seemed comical rather than dramatic, ngl. Stupid af. Loved the analogy though, the part where this anime never disappoints. That soundtrack still gives me goosebumps. Overall, an enjoyable episode, probably the best of this season.

Subaru as Momo still creeps the hell outta me. But it's nice to see how far he has come. I just hope the animation was a little better this season.

A Souma victory as expected, but like this episode highlighted, this definitely wasn't a victory just for Souma. It took all the skills of his friends to help him get through this one, and thankfully it paid off.

Amazing episode!

It was really nice to see some past about Saitou, i really sympatized with his character, he is honest and not arrogant!

Another victory for Soma with their awesome teamwork helping each other, and also was nice to see flashback about everyone Soma confronted since he join Tootsuki, and also remebering Soma's speech when he transfered was epic!

Anne is always cute each episode!

Seems next episode will be about Momo and Megumi, can't wait!

Victory by default. Kinda average episode at that, it seemed to me like Saito was no real enemy to Souma.

Except Megumi episode this season is just more of the same, no invention here. Whole contest is way too long. When I think there need to be at least four more Shokugeki before we reach the end, everything gets really boring and stale for me.

Is that how Shirou's UBW worked? I do remember him summoning swords in the air and having them float and then fly towards gilgamesh.

Would've much prefered Gilgamesh's effect though of swords coming out of ripples, although thematicly, Shirou's technique might be a bit more fitting because his technique was born out of struggle, he struggled, while gilgamesh's effect just screams overpowering. It's much more intimidating. Souma was the underdog so SHirou was more relevant.

happy Mimasaka after seeing the win makes me happy too tho :)

also wew as a long time fate fan, the unlimited blade works reference very much pleases me. all those weapons breaking after one use too was a nice touch!!!

after megumi's heartbreaking loss, seeing the two back to back wins is nice :D

can't wait to see what's next up and excited to finally see Erina finally go up or at least i think that's her in the credits silhouette
