Have you done value scales before? Those are good to refer back to when shading. The shape and proportions themselves look good though. Keep it up! Was this a class assignment? Maybe in your spare time, instead of drawing from a photo, try drawing a water bottle from life. Haha, I don't even know what a full pencil set is.xD I just used a mechanical pencil(since any other pencil is not allowed at my school). I know what value scales are, but I've never done them before. My teacher just told us to draw it and try our best. >.> It is our first assignment, so I guess she just wants to gauge where we are in our drawing skills. Anyways, thanks for your suggestions! Drawing realistic things and perfecting my shading skills seem to be a good starting point. I've really only gotten serious with drawing 2 weeks ago, so I really want to push myself to get better as fast as I can. ^^ |
