Just post the last anime you were looking forward to, but ended up falling flat.
And perhaps, why was it disappointing?

Mine was Kobato:

The vibrant cover art here lured me, and the first episode had me reeling. The main girl piques an interest straight away with her genuine naïveté, bordering on the clueless-yet-bright Chobits / Kure-nai archetype. With the charming first episode, I anticipated watching her travel around, meet lots of people, experience the world raw through her naïve perspective, etc.

Nope. While Kobato certainly keeps most of her charm, she merely ends up settling down in the middle of nowhere, working for free in some uselessly dull Kindergarten, interacting with the same handful of people, routinely chewed out by an irritating stuffed doll. A whole lot of nothing happens. The biggest plot event? Oh noes, we might have to close down a Kindergarten...

It's just sad watching such a fresh and interesting protagonist wasting away on such a bland plot.

Blood-C was pretty damn terrible, although entertaining because of how bad it was.

No.6, whilst good, could be a whole lot better if it was better paced. It had a lot more potential than what's it's using.

Lol, there is a big difference between the two. Especially the art. I would highly recommend you not watch "Mahou Sensei Negima", just watch "Negima!?", the one by Shaft, even though it has it's own original story from the Manga, it's far superior in story and art to the original Anime. Then you can move onto the OVA's and Specials which do follow the Manga, which is also done by Shaft.

steins gate- it's on the hype train and i dislike it. Main character ruins entire show, and the show isn't that good either. It's gets really boring on the latest episodes. So glad there's only 1 episode left. I should have drop it sooner.

Ao No Exorcist. What I thought will be the best show this summer is actually just a collection of stereotype characters in a typical plot. I must admit though, it has the best OST this summer.

The new Hunter X Hunter. Disappointed by the fact that it'll only run for 45+ episodes. I don't know how they'll work it out when the old one had 62 episodes(not including the OVA). Alright, there's still hope on the "+" but I'm not sure if I should count on that.

Ao no Exorcist. Just keeps getting worse by the episode, and it diverging from the manga isn't very appealing to me either.

Blood-C. Do I really need to explain my reasons?

Ao no Exorcist, just because it is changing so much from the manga and just dragging out with random small arcs now...

Blood-C was good enough in the first episode but seriously just sucks now.

And probably Kuroshitsuji, I started watching it because a lot of people like it and it has a good score on MAL, but it is seriously not what I was expecting, I was wanting something MUCH better. I don't particularly like the show so far...

Blood-C I wasn't expecting much, but not even the Clamp fanboys want to defend what it's devolved into now.

And last season there was C. I don't know why, but I was expecting moe and economics or at least some yayifications. All I got was tsundere and shounenshit. Oh, yeah, and some shitty CGI.

0 plot development.

My friend got me into watching the first few episodes and I said that there was no character development. She said watch it for the "art"...

Other than the eye candy there is nothing to it.

tenjou tenge-after watching the first few eps of ass kicking and big titties, i was eager for more. To my disappointment, the series completely changed soon. the show was suddenly taken up by a humongous flashback, and the main characters didnt even appearfor 3/4 of the series. tht really annoyed me because i liked the main characters and i thought it had been pointless to have shown them if they werent even going to appear in the anime. they finally appeared in the last episode and did something significant.

the flashback was quite entertaining, but i was disappointed as how the main characters had created a lot of hype, but done nothing

Don't forget the overall QUALITY animation

Both C and Blood-C were very disappointing for me this year, but what first comes to mind was that infamous ending of the Usagi Drop manga. I found it to be so dumb that I removed both the anime and the manga from my list altogether.

Also what's very disappointing for me at the moment is what they are doing with Kaiji , while the show is being generally very good, they drag on with the pachinko arc with 5 or so episodes in which nothing significant happens.

Nonsense. Are you absolutely certain you understand what any of those terms mean?

As for me, I was disappointed in Mayo Chiki!. A remarkable feat, considering my low expectations. How fucking hard can it be to get an average romcom going with a reverse trap butler and a sadistic lady? It should be common sense to focus on those two characters, not some unnecessary tsundere that was tacked on just for the sake of making it a harem. And if they had to go down that road, they could've at least added a bit of novelty by giving the harem to Subaru while the guy just got some fringe benefits out of being the only male in it.

Blood C, I guess... I mean, I didn't expect that much, you know, to become one of the best things I ever watched, but the series is quite a disappointment... I mean, there's no character development and there's no story at all... and everything goes to slow... I mean, I'd understand if the anime would have 50+ episodes, but it will have 12... 3 more episodes to go and almost nothing important happened... (SPOILER-except that Saya's friends died, but she didn't make such a fuss over it...)...
I don't like No. 6 and Sacred Seven too much either, and I loved the first 2-3 episodes and I thought both series are promising... looks like I was wrong... just my opinion xD

Copihan - just simply weird.

Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni! - worse than 1st season. I didn't like what I was watching in the middle of the series.

Steins;Gate - I heard good comments about the anime, but (as I marathoning this series now) somehow I don't like it!! (personally only good thing about it is Rika, and Mayuri annoys me. At a point in the series all Okabe do is to save Mayuri! I feel indifferent about Kurusu)

Mawaru Penguindrum - I heard that the theme songs are epic, but they were not that awesome. And the anime (according to first ep. I tried) is weird.

My thoughts exactly.

I'd also say Lovely Complex.

The whole 1st episode was pretty good, but the ending disappointed me.

This. Also Steins;Gate started to go downhill too. The only interesting parts for awhile have been with the cliffhanger endings. Suspense has been mostly lost. Ro-kyu-bu aka loli basketball was good up until they dropped the basketball.

Haven't really been disappointed with the rest since they either lived up to the expectations or didn't have any to begin with.

It actually starts to get better after the first 20 episodes. Big shounen series always start a little slow.

Anyway for me last disappointment was Blood-C. I expected better from the Blood franchise but falling into Clamps hands was a disaster.
