| I enjoyed the first episode. It just goes to show anime can entertain me without being a bloody-gore-fest or something over-the-top by the way i'm sure they're gonna make that Sket wristband into real merchandise, that'd be pretty neat to have! |

| This show seems very interesting, probably one of the best this season. Yusuke reminds me of a Digimon protagonist for some reason, lol. Can't wait for the next episode. |

| 9/10 for me. I thought it was going to be about skating something similar to Air Gear, but I read the preview and still had interest. Anyway I liked the episode a lot I thought it was funny and the main characters have great chemistry. Looking forward to the next episode when they take on Samuari xD that should be entertaining. |

| well um i don't know what exactly i was expecting from this anime but,im a little unimpressed..it seems like a gintama wanna-be to me..but i'll stick to it just to see where it goes...the only character i like is switch xD mainly because he is voiced by gintoki LOL,but since i read the description of the series and watched the episode it reminded me of gintama too much..but no anime can compare to gintama so it doesn't really matter xD i think this ep is a 7/10 |

I think it is a pun of words: Dan means (generally) "group", the -su it's a suffix they either use to say "we are" or as an honorific. So they pratically say "Sket Dan-su!" (= We are the guys of the Sket Club! OR The Repectful Sket Club!), but "Dansu" it's also how japanese pronounce "Dance", hence the pun of words. Though I'd wait for someone with a better knowledge of japanese to approve ^_^ Anyway, having listened to the VOMIC, I knew what to expect from seiyuu cast and general story, but it was really fun otherwise! I'm a Sugitard, so of course I'm a big Switch fan...he's awesome! Totally LOLed when he said: (referring to himself) By the way, my favorite Vizard is Muguruma Kensei (one of the charas from Bleach voiced by Sugita) (referring to Teppei) His favorite Mobile Suite is Victory (Sakaguchi-san voices the main guy in Mobile Suite Victory Gundam XD) 9/10 |

They did give an explanation during that. If you listen, the voices are the dialogue from earlier in the episode. The transfer student had mentioned watching koi in the pond, but another student had said that they left. Those are the lines that are playing during the "concentration" sequence. As for an opinion, I was pleased with this first episode. The characters are memorable, and the humour was sometimes unexpected. It reminded me a bit of Encyclopedia Brown (of all things), though I suspect from reading comments that one of the reasons why I didn't dislike this episode is because I haven't watched Gintama. Whatever the case, I'm interested in seeing where it goes from here. |

| My god, this was terribly mediocre. The voice acting is absolutely terrible, except for Sugita Tomokazu of course. He's awesome. The background music was also lame and the OP and ED make my ears bleed, and not in a good way. I only laughed once, the rest was boring. 2.5/5 Gonna continue watching this, but I doubt it'll improve. |

| Wow, that was the worst first episode of the season for me. One of the most generic chara-design I have ever seen, bad animation, lame voice acting.. (that reminds you that you should watch Gintama instead of this shit) It was uninteresting and unfunny, I've not even cracked a smile. It tries to be Gintama but it's bad, terrible. 1/5 (0/5 If I could) |

| So far not bad. I laughed at a couple of things (mostly switch) but nothing too much. I'm hoping it get's better later on. What suprises me though is that (as far as i know) there's not a single fansub group doing this. |

| goggles guy voice doesn't fit and is actually kinda annoying. he's more fitting as the pervert friend like in Zombie and Mayoi Neko Overrun. seemed rather mediocre ... I might watch a few more episodes. the girl was interesting but the rest was just meh. |

After that I just scanned through it and it looked worse then the first half. How anybody can enjoy this is beyond me. This series is incredibly boring and just not funny. Apparently the manga gets better but it'll take weeks for that to happen in this adaptation. I won't be forcing myself to watch something that's horribly written and poorly designed for months. I don't usually drop after 1 episode, but this is ridiculous. 1/10 and dropped |

| I very much enjoyed the first episode of this series. When I heard the voice of seyu Shinpachi with Gintma, I could no longer bear it with laughter lol I can't wait for the next episodes and I think that the anime will be one of the best series of the spring when it comes to comedy... :D |

| Wow. This surely was awful. I didn’t have high expectations because the synopsis seemed quite retarded on its own but it was mediocre and badly executed. It’s ridiculous. I won’t drop it, I’ll just watch it for the lulz~ But seriously, it was pretty unoriginal and annoying. The comedy didn’t even work. I don’t even think there’s hope for it to improve in later episodes. |

| wow so many bad comments on the first episode well whatever, but i thought it was great IMO. i'm one of the manga readers and they animated everything on chapter one, but i think they took out a part of the flashback of Teppei being bullied. and the pacing was a bit too fast which i'll admit. but overall i'm impressed with the animation and the voice actors and i'm happy to see Switch animated most of all~ |
