Well I can say right now that I'm a bad rater. I give alot of things that I watch a good rating that is really just all my bias. But oh well cause I loved them :D lol. Really though I'd like to list my top Anime, and maybe it's a long list but I've really enjoyed watching the following:

#1: Clannad - First and last anime to really crack my emotions in half and let them bleed on the floor. I "limped" away from that one with a "huge smile" on my face.

#2: Trigun - This one had my all time idle...Vash the Stampede, Humanoid Typhoon. The whole anime took my heart, kind'a made me look at the little thins in life a little more. ALSO: I noticed that a lot of people did not understand why it was called 'Tri-gun' "where is the third gun?" I see a lot of people asking that and all I will say is the last episode will clear it up and if you still don't know shame on you. >:|

#3: Spice & Wolf - Just the name makes me smile. But truthfully although a bit dialog intense... (really alot of talking lol) The story is really great, and it puts you in the shoos of being a merchant at those ages!

#4: Phantom ~RoP~ - Shit man if you want to know what a cold blooded killer feels like take a peek for yourself! But there was a thick but oh-so juicy amount of drama in this anime. What 'does' it mean to be human?

#5: Kuroshitsuji - Currently watchin', will be finished soon but I can already say this anime is great! The story turns with such grace you thought you would have seen something coming, but it was to late, it already slapped you in the face!

#6: Zero no Tsukaima - Great story in my opinion. I thought the whole idea was funny but good all around. Only thing that bugged me that I could not get past was age... there comes a time in a man's life when he needs to put his life on the line to save the world but christ wait till they've lived a little! >:| (I know that is a problem in most animes though lol...)

#7: Ah! My goddess - My first anime so I has to putz it here :D I did enjoy it, although it started to bug me with its lack of progression, the story rocks but it seems like i's just a little slow

#8: Toradora! - Can't leave this out. I really loved watching this, and watching how the characters slowly changed, Like watching water when you put a drop of dye into it, just awesome! :D

#9: Chobits - Great Anime! The thought of a computer loving someone, is strange because is it not just a program? Will the one being loved only be hurt in the end? Can man and machine love? Questions only you can answer for yourself, because I know where I stand.

#10: Full Metal Panic! - How does one change their life to meet the customs of civilians if all they know is war? Well let me tell you... it's so funny to watch XD

My list goes on, Trust me I love aot of anime who doesn't? :D But it's also hard to keep going on and on, This is my main list I guess. I recommend all of them to anyone who wants to feel laughter, sadness, joy, anger, and most of all, human!

I agree with your #1, #3, #6, #7 and #8. I would also include Clannad After Story, the first anime to make me cry. Ushio is too kawaii. Anyway next would be Air. That got me really emotional at the end. Kanon as well...basically all KEY animes are the best. Even the KEY's visual novel Planeterium is good. Just add one more and that would be SCHOOL RUMBLE. I know its not that emotional. It was in some parts but it is the funniest anime I have seen.

Also Da Capo and Da Capo II second season are really good. They are enthralling stories and can get upsetting.

I did not like Air all that much to tell you the truth :/ I really didn't... But anyway... When I put Clannad up there, I did mean all of it, the OVAs and the second season lol, so dun worry I meant those too!!

PFFF Trigun was one of the best animes eva! >:| agree or be destroied!! /loading cannon

>:O Do it! do it now!

Trust me when I say, Trigun is a very fulfilling anime, I personally loved it. Its got a great western style to it, with some good detail. The fight scenes are unique also, really making the lead character think about how to handle the situation. Also the story flows very well together. Vash = best friend EVA!!

Since we're talking about KEY, I also would like to mention Angel Beats!
It's a good mixture of action, comedy, mystery and emotions, and the story just took my breath away.

Maybe I'll make some people upset with the following words, but I'll give it a go.
I also like K-ON!.
Now before I go any further, I'd like to clear out that I'm NOT a moe fan. So I don't like it because it's your next average moe anime.
But still I kinda enjoy watching it. Don't know why, but I do. It doesn't have a strong story or deep characters at all.
So if you would just like to watch something of this genre for a change, I guess K-ON! would be one of the better options.

Kanon & Air? Or just Kanon, if you must.

Two more tear-jerking, heartwrenching tales from Key & KyoAni.

And, of course, with the signature amazing soundtrack and scenery porn from the Key/KyoAni combo.

I'm going to list just the ones I found to be overly emotional for me, since that's kinda the point of this club.

#1 Princess Tutu
The last 4 episodes will make you want to just bawl, epic fights against destiny and fate tend to do that.

#2 TTGL
Oddly enough, I cried because this show ended and it just sucked me into its world so much that to have it end and to leave it must've been emotional

#3 Hikaru no Go
Ok, I've actually read the manga on this one, but it can be very emotional, the anime ends around vol 17 so I won't spoil it for you, but that is an emotional turning point. Also, there are no bad characters, so when there are 4 characters going for the pro and only 3 can make it, it's rather upsetting to see the fourth guy not get in. Even hinting at it didn't lessen the blow.

#4 Tetsujin 28 [2004]
Wasn't expecting this one to be emotional, but characters dealign with their sins from the war (WW2) was quite emotional

#5 Fantastic Children
The Children of Befort are quite a sad case, searching for someone based only on a picture that she keeps drawing every time she's reincarnated.

#6 Tokyo Godfathers
THE quintessential Christmas anime, it captures the spirit of Christmas perfectly, the hardships and the joys.

#7 Legend of the Galactic Heroes
Also sometimes hints at its upcoming tragedies, but still just as sad nontheless!

#8 Area 88
Seems an appropriate number :P Anyway, the main is forcibly drafted by his jerk "best friend" into a mercenary thing in....I forget, anyway, he's so excited for his contract to be up and to gtfo of there, but the experience ends up changing him.

Hmmm
I prefer some of classic anime.
1. Maison Ikkoku - Greatest romcom IMO
2. Great Teacher Onizuka - You're missing half of your life if you don't watch this.
3. Hotaru no Haka (Grave of the Fireflies) - You will cry in this movie. I assure you.
4. Koi Kaze - incest story anyone?
5. Baccano and Durara!! - Wow so many characters!!
6. Mushishi - Adventures of Ginko , better than natsume yuujinchou IMO
7.Golden Boy - Must see comedy.
8. Detroit Metal City -
9. H2, touch, Cross game - Adachi Mitsuru's work.
10. Kimagure Orange Road and Shin Kimagure Orange road - One of the best classic romcom

1. Durarara!!- epic characters, no doubt the best i've ever seen (but, unfortunatelly, my list is not really impressive YET,)
2. Mahou shoujo madoka magica- It's anime that actually makes you feel like there's no hope left, well, as for me perfect. ;)
3.Junjou romantica- so sweet, i'm not fond of romances, but this one was both sweet and funny. such a shame, that sekaiichi hatsukoi was way worse (in my opinion, i know many people say they like it better)
4. sayonara zetsubou sensei- no sense, terrible graphic, a lot of fanserwis, but it owns a great meaning behind, it's not only stupid comedy (but really funny anyway :)). And Itoshiki Nozomu is a real bishounen.
5. Darker than black-
6. Oban star racers- i think my very first anime (maybe only naruto was earlier, but i'm not sure and i have never ended it anyway, so...) and i t was great. but it's meant for younger viewers, i guess (call me childish, but i still love it :D)
