Almost every country sets the standards of beauty as having lighter skin, lighter eyes, and lighter hair. I remember I had an ex from Japan tell me about how many of the guys he knew would talk about their ideal girl being a pale blonde American. There are also other things I have heard, but I won't go into detail. Like I said though, that seems to be the standard of beauty across the board. |

| It's a rare colour in Japan so it makes sense that people would be more attracted to it. It has that exotic appeal. It's the same way that I like jet-black and hazel-coloured hair, since the majority of people where I live have various shades of brown. |

| Personally I find blonds fugly, my mother thinks the same, same for the majority of Province of Quebec in Canada. Here brunettes is the wide definition of beauty, same for guys. In my case I much prefer brown/dark/black haired guys over blonds. Blonds are ugly, they're overrated. | In general. people prefer blond and in general, people like something they don't see to often. Meaning: Though people in countries with many blonds can prefer blond in high percent, the percent's we'll be higher at countries with less blond (especially dark hair) |
