Thank god, Bones isn't as legendary as I.G, but I'm sure they will nail Boku no Hero Academia.

They haven't adapted much WSJ manga though, I think this is the first actually.

Hoping for 2-cours per year.

(To all the idiots calling an original ending, this series isn't monthly like Soul Eater and FMA. Bones will definitely have more than enough content for 25-episodes when this anime comes out.)

the problem is manga just finishing a big arc. and now it's in training (or test) arc. dunno how long the prepearing for next big arc and how long it would be. though BnHA don't have really long arc or long battle.

That's not the problem here though, problem is with how they want to end the series. I don't think that there wasn't a place to end Soul Eater on, or FMA, during the airing period of the series.

But then, a lot of us are just joking about the anime original ending thing..

Great news. Bones is great, so if the source material is as good as what#s been said then we'll probably have a hit.
5 main aspects I base my ratings on:
1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it?
2. Is it better than Breaking Bad?
3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it?
4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL?
5. Is it actually good?

Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant...

Look at all these "better than <insert studio here> at least" comments.

Some people that are just overeager to have this adapted should be contented on whats in store for them.

I thought it would be Bones and think they suit this perfectly. The character designs and whole academy thing for some reason reminded me of Soul Eater. Glad it's Bones as now we're going to get some amazing action scenes with great animation and art (no cheap CG as well) and probably a great sounding OST. Hope they do what Wit Studio are doing with Attack on Titan and make a 2-cour 1st season then make another season when more source material is out.

This is good for the anime's animation quality at least. Bones has been on roll this year.

How many chapters does BHA have?

It's at 64 or 65 chapters if I'm not mistaken, I'm still not caught up but I think it's around there.

That's few.

That's few.

It won't come out until Spring 2016 at least so there will be more than enough chapters for a 2-cour season without fillers by then. Though they will probably add anime-originals to end it on certain points in the manga.

I wish they would've waited later for an anime. They should've gave MHA some time to actually develop a plot. Now this season will just be training and tournaments.
Hopefully it's still able to grab in a decent audience.

I agree, I don't mind if it'll have an anime original ending.
Bones is probably my favorite studio so I'm very happy to hear this, but they have made a stinker or two *cough*Captain Earth*cough*.

A well-paced adaptation or a rushed adaptation, pick one. We're currently on chapter 65 which will translate to 20 well-paced episodes. Giving time for more chapters to come out won't really make a difference unless they rush it to hell or make it a long-runner, where both are pretty bad choices imo, especially if they can easily do the seasonal 25 episodes per season like Haikyuu!! or Shingeki no Kyojin whenever there's enough materials while gathering more fanbase and hype for the series.

Bones eh? Well the anime they adapt tend to have great animation (and filler endings), so I expect Academia to be of no exception. But I don't think I've given high ratings for any anime they've produced (except for Sword of the Stranger, which was a movie). I was hoping Studio Pierrot would adapt it, though. This better be at least 50 episodes, since it's an adaptation of a weekly shounen manga. I'd be disappointed if it was 1 or 2 cour.

So, anime original story then?

Meh, frankly there's a LOT of stuff Bones could be spending time on instead of this(Where's my Kekkai Sensen 2, bones?). Their talents are wasted on a shonen.

Production I.G. wouldve been a lot better for this but I have faith in BONES. This will be great if they don't go anime original.

LMFAO @ guy who read one chapter saying this is gonna be bad. Gtfo.

http://myanimelist.net/anime/24439/Kekkai_Sensen

That awful realization that unless you have read the demography you will think Kekkai Sensen is not a shonen...

Anyway,

PREPARE PEOPLE, FOR BONES WILL ADAPT HERO ACADEMIA.
HOW TO SAVE ANIME IN THREE SIMPLE STEPS

  1. To have Mars of Destruction, Skelter Heaven, and Pupa properly adapted in TV series form by Madhouse
  2. To have Inferno Cop properly adapted in TV series form by Bones, director: Urobuchi Gen
  3. An anime crossover of Mushishi x ARIA x Haibane Renmei.

Should even one of the above conditions cannot be done, anime is still at risk.

OT:
Yeah, changed my mind. I.G. wouldn't have been a LOT better for this, though they still would've been better. BONES are the second best choice though (since madhouse rarely do sequels and all that), and I'm really glad they're the ones who got it. This is gonna be fantastic, and some of the posts in this thread remind me of the haters who talk about the FSN VN without ever reading it. You're just making an idiot out of yourself when you say bad things about a show based on its synposis.

lmfao.

Not really confirmed but according to 2ch

Director: Nagasaki Kenji (Classroom Crisis, Gundam Build Fighter)

Screenwriter: Yousuke Kuroda (Gundam Build Fighter, Jormungand, Gundam 00)

Character Design: Yoshihiko Umakoshi (Casshern Sins, Fullmetal Alchemist, Berserk) (Those thick line yo!)

There's a difference between Kekkai Sensen or FMA type of "shonen demo work" and Naruto, etc mass produced shonen demo manga.

You know it is. Though I guess there isn't a point in trying to classify a VN as one.

Being a shounen doesn't make something inherently bad. Even something having shounen tropes in it doesn't make it bad. A good story will still be good, like F/SN, Kekkai Sensen or BnHA.

I also find it amusing that you're calling Kekkai Sensen and FMA different from Naruto, but implying that BnHA is the same as Naruto without knowing much about it.

No it is not. FSN is as far as possible from Shounen demo and yet again as you said rating a VN is impossible via demos meant for manga.

FSN is NOT meant for the shounen demo and does not adhere to the rules of content derived for the said demo. If anything the original VN is adults only and the themes and topics explored in it have nothing to do with shonen demo. Its as much of a "shounen" as Tsukihime or rest of nasuverse is..As in no it is not.

Either way that has nothing to do with current topic.

I don't get why you think all shounens must adhere to some defined set of rules. I'm sure you would've said FMA wasn't a shounen if its demographic wasn't public, obviously hypothetically.

How do you tell if something is 'far from the shounen demo'?

Again, good shows are good regardless of their demographics.

Rumors also said Kenji Nagasaki could be directing, and that seems pretty damn fitting considering what i've heard about Gundam Build Fighters. Looking forward to more news!
